Vice News takes us in to see how the Islamic State strictly governs their people with Sharia law in Raqqa, Syria. They follow around the ‘Hisbah’, or the Sharia police as they patrol the streets to ensure everyone is following the Sharia, including one woman who was lifting her Burka as she walked. They told her husband to tell her not to lift her Burqa while she walked because he is not sharing her with everyone. Seriously.
In the prisons they show men who’ve been arrested for drinking, smoking, and swearing and they are all to be publicly whipped for their transgressions.
