Washington killer identified as ‘Hispanic’ turns out to be immigrant… from Turkey

The media kept repeating the description of the scumbag murderer in Washington as “Hispanic,” but as many suspected, he turned out to be something completely different.

A man suspected of killing five people at Burlington’s Cascade Mall on Friday night has been arrested in Oak Harbor after a 20-hour manhunt.
The Washington State Patrol identified the suspect as 20-year-old Arcan Cetin. Cetin emigrated from Turkey and is a legal U.S resident, according to an initial police investigation. Cetin graduated in 2015 from Oak Harbor High School.

During a Saturday night news conference, police said they were able to identify their suspect via tips and surveillance video showing the suspect’s car. Surveillance video showed Cetin come into the store unarmed about 10 minutes before the shooting. Police believe he went back to the car to get the rifle.

Now I could see why a Turk might be confused with a Hispanic, but it is interesting that they didn’t even allow for the possibility of a Middle Eastern attacker.

Wishful thinking by the media perhaps.
