Kamala Harris was asked today about her tweet from a couple of weeks ago where she called what happened to Smollett a ‘modern day lynching’.
As Fox news points out, she clearly needed a minute to compose her thoughts on this before answering:
Wow that was uncomfortable.
I would have liked to have heard her full answer, but Fox News cut her off, focusing just on the awkward part of her answer.
But here, thanks to David Rutz, you can hear her answer the question in a different setting:
She literally said “The facts are still rolling themselves out, so I don’t actually know what happened.”
Really? She knew what happened on January 29:
.@JussieSmollett is one of the kindest, most gentle human beings I know. I’m praying for his quick recovery.
This was an attempted modern day lynching. No one should have to fear for their life because of their sexuality or color of their skin. We must confront this hate.

So she knew what happened then, but after all of this reporting has come out now on what really happened, she suddenly doesn’t know what happened anymore. Wow.
