WATCH: Mark Meadows stops to ‘fact check’ a reporter who claimed Republicans were ‘struggling’ to defend Trump

Mark Meadows at first declined an interview with an MSNBC reporter, but as soon as he heard her reporting that Republicans were ‘struggling’ to defend Trump he had to come back and set the record straight:

The reporter first starts by suggesting that many are testifying that there was a quid pro quo but Meadows corrects that too, pointing out that most of the testimony is backing up Volker suggesting there was no quid pro quo. And when the reporter mentions Sonland – of course – Meadows tells her that it was only his presumption and that he testified that he really didn’t know.

Probably the biggest news out of this short interview is that Meadows said that the testimony they are hearing today suggest this temporary hold on aid was part of a bigger picture, that “it wasn’t just Ukraine where the aid was held up”.

Let’s go ahead and make this an open thread with a cute Dodo video about a traveling kitty!
