WATCH: Owner of NJ gym tells Tucker Carlson police were sent back to issue him a summons and a threat…

Ian Smith, the owner of the New Jersey gym where police refused to enforce the governor’s lockdown order today, told Tucker Carlson tonight that the police were sent back to his gym by some higher authority to issue him a summons and a threat.

Watch:

Smith told Carlson that he didn’t know who sent the police back, but assumed it was because they received an order from a ‘higher up’. Carlson speculated that it may have been the governor because he “felt his personal integrity was on the line”.

Smith explained that he received a summons for “violating a governor’s order”, noting he’s not sure exactly what that will entail but that his lawyer wasn’t all that worried about it and neither was he and his business partner.

But it gets better. The governor also threatened that if Smith reopens the gym tomorrow, whoever shows up will get a “next level kind of punishment.” When Smith was asked what he thinks that means, he wasn’t sure. But he said they are ready for the consequences and that one of their members has already started up a gofundme page for everyone just in case.
