WATCH: Ted Cruz explains to Fox News just how his El Chapo Act would work to pay for the wall

Ted Cruz was on Fox News this morning to explain his new El Chapo Act and just how it would work in order to pay for the border wall with Mexico:

Cruz explains that once El Chapo is convicted, then the federal government can begin the forfeiture process of his assets worldwide. That money would normally go to the Treasury, but Cruz’s bill would mandate that money be used for the border wall construction.

Cruz also hits Schumer for saying this border funding is a non-starter. Cruz accuses him of not even caring about the issue, but only responding to his radical leftist base of constituents that have him terrified – who want a shutdown.
