Normally when people talk about amazing graphics I roll my eyes, because many times it’s just something lame like CNN’s 2008 holographic reporters.
But in this case I have to say I’m impressed at how the Weather Channel is demonstrating dangerous storm surge levels.

I love how they show just how high the water level rises relative to things we see everyday like road signs, houses, and the reporter herself. It really is an incredible display of the threat the coast is facing and why people should get the heck out of there before it comes onshore.
