It’s rare to hear CNN say anything good about the Trump administration, especially when the news isn’t necessarily super positive.
But this morning, despite the less-than-expected reported job numbers for November, CNN actually gave a very positive outlook on the overall job growth.

CNN’s Christine Romans didn’t just explain that the overall job growth was doing really well, noting that it’s on pace to beat 2016 – which she said was a very good year. She also explained why the job numbers may have come in lower than expected.
According to Romans, we are at full employment at 3.7% and it’s difficult to add 200k jobs every month without bringing new workers into the country. She suggested we won’t know for sure if that’s the case until more analysis is done in the coming weeks and months.
I guess what surprised me is that she could have taken up the other narrative that the economy is slowing down and that there are danger signs of a coming recession…or something. But instead she gave a more positive alternative to why the jobs report wasn’t as great as everyone thought it would be.
