“YOU’RE A DAMN TERRORIST” – EPIC: Judge Jeanine Pirro BLASTS Rolling Stone for making excuses for Boston bomber

Judge Jeanine gave a barn-burner of a monologue tonight, blasting Rolling Stone for putting the Boston jihadi bomber on the front cover and for making excuses for his terrorism. Pirro said she doesn’t give a damn why he became a terrorist and he doesn’t deserve our sympathies.

Um… The Rolling Stone didn’t make excuses for the alleged terrorist. They wrote an article about him which blamed him for the bombing.
I’m sure he will be found guilty–all the evidence points to him doing it and having no defense–but he will have the chance to defend himself in court.

notpilgrims This isn’t about his court case or his dirty bombing deeds. This is about the “romanticizing” of his image on the front cover. Rolling Stone deliberately used a pretty/glorified image of this low life, which was meant to convey a certain mental image, not the one of the blood and gore and misery which took place that day. They deliberately tried to “soften” his image in the public mind’s eye.
To say they did otherwise is to think we’re dumb.

Damn, I love this woman! It’s OK…My wife knows and she knows I haven’t got a prayer of catching her eye!! smile If I ever committed a crime and she was the prosecutor, I’d have to fire my lawyer, plead guilty and throw myself on the mercy of the court cause if there were jurors there with even half a brain, they could not help but be convinced at the overwhelming logic of how this woman presents her point of view. Well done (again) Jeanine. We need more like you, and we need to carry that torch to others ourselves.

arizonagolfer What if you were accused of a crime? What if someone started punching you and slamming your head into concrete and you pulled out a gun and shot him in self-defense? What if Jeanine then decided to charge you and she tried to make you out as a racist? What then?? I would hope the jury would find you not guilty and spit in prosecuter Jeanine’s face.

No one else has said it, so I will, at the risk of my comment never being posted. lol  Here it goes: God forbid there is another such terrorist attack, I hope everyone involved with giving the OK on this issue of Rolling Stone’s cover and content are victims of it. I would then like to see them publish another such issue, exploring why THEIR attacker was “…failed by family, friends, America,…” blah, blah, blah. I’m betting we’d never see that issue. Such cowardly, self-aggrandizing traitors only demonstrate unbiased reporting when dealing with someone else’s tragedy.

macchaninja You want the Rolling Stone editors to get killed in a terrorist attack??? I hope no one gets killed in another terrorist attack, but we all know that unfortunately evil exists, and another attack will inevitably happen. I would wish that on anyone, though.
Nor would I attack a journalist for writing an article about an event that happened. Journalism is SUPPOSED to cover events like this, even when it touches on painful issues. I didn’t read the piece, but I did see the cover where they called him a “bomber,” which is what the evidence would suggest he is.

macchaninja

notpilgrims macchaninja I don’t want any terrorist attacks to occur. I was making the point that when these scumbag “journalists” get personally affected by violence, their so-called “unbiased” views do an abrupt 180. Besides, Rolling Stone is supposed to be a music magazine… Is the Boston Bomber playing a gig somewhere?

DonnyBlackmoreOrangeoneI can share this. When I start my business,my first hire was a female intern that had worked with me at a client.  I mentored her through her graduate program in our field. She still works for me today.  My second intern was a male in graduate school.  I mentored him as well and he went on to work for a larger company.  I was determined to pay things forward when I started my company and will do so until I close up shop.  I know each of them pays things forward as well.  Many others on Scoop own businesses too and achieve the same. We will turn this country around.

I have never read Rolling Stone (the magazine) and will never buy it even out of curiosity. It is my belief that like MTV, and VH1, Rolling Stone magazine turned from reporting about music and performers and twisted into a self proclaimed expert on politics and culture. Rolling Stone magazine, like many other liberal publications, push liberal thinking with every publication they make. MTV started with being a simple music television program and quickly escalated into hip culture experts with left leaning political reporting. VH1 has followed suit, and no longer plays music videos. MTV has more “Real Life” game shows than most people can stomach; but they use these types of shows to one up the youth of this country (that is see what these people did, think you can do worse?). Teenage Moms, Real World and a host of other shows demonstrating to our kids that all is… Read more »

Judge Jeanine and Fox should continue on going on the same path they were before. Everyone from the Soviet Union knows exactly how people from Chechniya and Dagestan are. They are like cancer if you don’t get rid of it from the beginning it can kill you. The government needs to realize that they are killing a nation that was built by Americans.

What has happened to Open Threads for entries like yours and the Freedom to respond?
Huckabee did a great monologue on Detroit last night, one that could be expanded on for mass consumption and enlightenment. Potentially effective.

Few here ever bought RollingStone, so why not just forget them.

Well, technically, your “Freedom to respond” is covered under the general concept of, “your blog, your rules”
But I think you’re being curious about open threads, in general.  Scoop likes keeping things more or less on topic.  That doesn’t mean you can’t bring up a related notion, it just means don’t hijack the topic so that people who see “Palin” (for example) in the title, don’t have the unfortunate experience of dropping into a long conversation about something else, like “Gitmo”, when they click on the link.
I like to drop in the occasional O/T item, but I don’t want it to turn into a thread hijack, so I usually include “do not respond” language in there somewhere.  (Oddly, I’ve tried putting “Do not hit ‘like'” in there, but for some reason, people will hit the like button more when I do that.  We’re nothing if not nonconformists.)

I agree with Judge Jeanine. I agree with her sentiment. And I understand why she said her last line, “you should go to hell sooner than later.” Mr. Tsarnaev came to the U.S., took advantage of many of the benefits that it gave him, and then he spat on it with disdain. That’s what Judge Jeanine is so angry about. That’s why she tells him he can go to Hell. She is so angry at his disdain that she tells him that he can go to Hell, which, to be honest with you, I agree with. Her anger is righteous anger at a spoiled brat who decided to hurt a lot of people. And Rolling Stone magazine are just feeding that spoiled brat. Would they have been so generous if he had blown up their publication offices? But this is not untypical of human behaviour. With all the benefits that… Read more »

PoCoTex  Just remember, PoCoTex, We all should go to hell, sooner than later. But for the grace of God, we would all be frying as we speak. Furthermore, even one tiny white lie, unatoned for by the shed blood of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, is enough to stain all of God’s holy heaven and to keep us banned from His presence for all of eternity! It is ONLY because of God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and NOT our works that we have been saved (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Just remember: Before we were saved, we were also dead in our trespasses and sin and bound for hell as well…

doofuschmartz PoCoTex Amen!  Praise the Lord He saved me on May 1st 2003!  Washed in the blood, deemed righteous by the righteous One!  It was the Just for the unjust!
Every single one of us was born sinners, destined for Hell because of our sin.  That’s why Jesus says that we must be born again, born into the family or God (John 3:3).
We need to stop trusting in religion and trust in Jesus Christ and the blood He shed at Calvary!  He took your Hell for you on the cross; He took your punishment for you; He paid your sin debt for you, a debt you couldn’t pay!  What are you going to do with Jesus?  Reject Him or accept Him?  Stop playing with religion in a dead church and repent and surrender your life, your will to Him!

As I said in my article two days ago, Everyone knows controversy sells.  Advertising, specifically magazine covers have always pushed the envelope  when it comes to provocative covers in order to sell more magazines. Rolling Stone like every other mag and media manipulate the spotlight away from issues that should be in the top news to shift focus onto their own narrative which is perceived as edgy, or ‘serious and thoughtful’ coverage.
This is why we’ll never see heroes on the covers of the Rolling Stone or TIME mags. Because the left don’t care about heroes or victims. They only care about sales.

AmericanborninCanada It’s also why so many of their lefty magazines and newspapers are biting the dust. There is a limited number of people who like that garbage, and too many of the lefties base – low-information voters – don’t read newspapers at all.
OTOH, I think readership and sales would actually go up if there were mags and papers to counter the ones that constantly assault America and plead victimhood for the dirt bags of society.

Lady_Penquin I agree. I can only imagine their surprise if they actually TRIED putting victims or Heroes on their cover for once and saw how many more they’d sell.  But they never will, so the best thing for them is to fade out of existence.

I was with you all the way, Judge Jeanine, until your very last line, “you should go to hell, sooner than later.”  While I understand your sentiment, my fair lady, the truth is, we all deserve to go to hell. Which is why Jesus Christ died for mankind. So we don’t have to. Forgiveness is not easy, in fact it’s almost impossible, and unless we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us, we cannot even pretend that it’s possible. Jesus Christ, the One who knew NO SIN, the One who was SINLESS, and PERFECT in all His ways died for us while we were lost in our trespasses and sins, so that we might attain His righteousness. And what a horrible, undeserved, death it was, at the hands of blood-thirsty savage hypocritical, religious zealots, too. I know that I will get a lot of criticism for this comment, but… Read more »

That said, it is altogether different from where this man ultimately spends eternity. Neither I, nor any other human being has the right to condemn another or, for that matter wish another to spend eternity in hell. To do so means that we are assuming the prerogative that is God’s alone, and that is VERY, VERY dangerous and serious.(Idolatry, making God in our own image) As I said earlier, we all DESERVE to go to hell, the only thing that makes us different from him is our belief and trust in Jesus Christ as our Saviour. His only regrets were probably that more people weren’t killed or injured and he got caught. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that ALL WHO BELIEVE IN HIM shall not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16  When he dies God will judge him, but the court system has a right to judge his actions and punish him. My human heart has no sympathy or love for devils like this guy or others, such as Maj. Hassan, the blind sheik (sp?) and too many more to name. With the evidence we’ve found with these terrorists, just execute them. Don’t feed them, don’t give them free legal assistance, don’t give them a bed or any luxuries, don’t spend one more dime on them (especially tax-payer dimes). There’s no reason for a trial… they were caught red-handed with American blood and their crimes were too heinous to even wait on a verdict. They killed and wounded many, many people. They destroyed lives and terrorized hundreds to thousands. There’s no doubt about what they did or why. Put the rabid animals down.
