Given the events of today, the “reassessment” that is, it sounds to me like Cain is seriously considering dropping out of the race. I know some may feel like this is just a routine “reassessment”, as he said he’s done it before, but we didn’t know about it when he did it before. Also, why would Cain’s campaign make known (or acknowledge) to the public that they were reassessing their campaign anyway? It’s absolutely the wrong message to send if he continues to keep the Cain train going.

So given that he may drop out, I wonder who gets your vote going forward:

    First off… that’s not true, http://www.thestatecolumn.com/articles/aide-herman-cain-will-stay-in-the-race/

Second…if he drops out, I’ll just vote in the general for whoever is facing Obama, as I feel no passion for any of the others (not that my primary in NC ever matters anyway, race is always decided before it gets to us)

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Kenneth-Niman/1508845361 Kenneth Niman

I don’t know why the RNC adopted the DNC’s practice in the first place when they don’t let every vote count anyway.

      • Anonymous

because they didn’t want other people to pick their candidate. Us, for example.

    • Anonymous

Why would they announce that they were reassessing? That was a frustratingly amateurish move.

Cain is not dropping out. None of these allegations can be proven because they are not true. This is a smear job perpetuated to assassinate Cain’s character. Herman Cain should counter with a lawsuit against these woman for slander and make them either admit they lied, provide proof that they are telling the truth or let the courts label them as liars.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=27606081 Lawrence Almagno

You know even if Ron Paul does win the Primary there is a strong chance that the delegates wont elect him as the nominee. You understand that the political process is a scam. They count on you giving up hope, they bank on it [ so do the banks : ) ]. Dont fall in line with the system for once, write in Ron Paul or Get him on the ballot as an independent. If not it doesnt matter who you vote for because everyone else is the same. They say one thing and do exactly what the corporations who put them in office tell them to do.

This is America, we were founded by people who stuck to their guns and wanted freedom and fought for it. Dont give up so easy because if you do your discracing the country you live in.

Its one thing to support another candidate after making an intelligent evaluation, its completely another thing to to support one candidate yet accept what a party shoves down your throat. At a restaurant if you ordered steak and they brought you dog food would you eat it? NO you would demand your steak and if they didnt bring your steak you would walk out of the place and get it somewhere else! DONT EAT THE DOG FOOD… GO GET YOUR STEAK .. VOTE RON PAUL IF YOU THINK HE IS THE BEST MAN FOR THE JOB>> DONT VOTE BASED UPON THE MEDIA”S BIAS OR WHAT A PARTY TELLS YOU TO DO..

    • Anonymous

      Hi Long,
Dont know why I am responding to you. I always believed that we should not eat our own, but I have come to learn that we should not shield them either. That is the difference between us an Liberals and progressives. They recylce waste, including human waste, if you know what I mean, while we dump waste, and only humans can get a second chance through redemption. Untill then, there is the need for sin to take its full course. Go through the pain of your deeds, repent of it, get forgiveness, lay low, be humbled and then come back if God asks you.

there is NO perfect candidate. any of these people would change washington simply by being there. cain will most likely drop out. palin and west are NOT running. grow up people. everyone of these people are great. and remember! we better own the house and the senate. without the majority in both houses, it will not make much difference. get to work. stop whining.

Gingrich is progressive and can’t really be elected. I don’t really trust many of the others.

Only Santorum and Bachmann have maintained message. Though I disagree on some things, they are constant on their positions, which is much more than I can say for Gingrich.

We’d all love to see gingrich debate Obama, but another shameful spectacle is not what we need out of our current pres., nor will it make a candidate the new president.

Like another poster said, without Cain, I’ll vote Ron Paul in the primaries, if he lasts long enough to make it to the primaries in Ohio. (The nominee is often chosen by the time we get to vote.)

Then come November, I’m gonna vote for whoever is running against Obama. Even if it’s Huntsman.

I smell a giant rodent of genus demo cratus. Every step along the way His Oneness has advanced because of cheating. Obama is only in the White House because he won a Senate election because his original Republican had his sealed divorce records unsealed showing that he wanted to have sex with his own wife! Heck!! that was 7 of 9 from STNG and geeks around the world would have killed Steve Jobs to do the same thing even if they weren’t married to her.
Any of the Republican candidates would be an improvement over The One, but we really need a great leader who will fight to help us recover. I don’t care who you support or hate.
    Newt is a cheating dog
Perry is as dumb as a rock with a racist word on it
    Bachman is a crazy woman
Santorum couldn’t win in his own state
Romney fired thousands of hard working people like you and me
Huntsman? he makes Rinos look good
and Paul? crazy Bachmans crazy uncle…
Do I believe what I just wrote? H3ll no, but those are just the starting points for Obama and the lame stream media and if you doubt me, you are just wrong.
These are very scary days and I believe that every bit of it starts with Obama and his demons.
We are being played and not in a good way.
I liked Sarah because she has been through the fire already but for her own reason she stepped out of the way
I believe Cain could go toe to toe with Barry and carry the word to the public
I know that Newt would spank him up one side and down the other
I know that Perry would do a great job in the oval office
I would love to see Romney treat the federal government like a hostile takeover and fire about 50% of the workers on day 1
and Bachman understands the limits of the Constitution and would fight to reign in runaway government.
Heck, I hate Pauls stand on Israel, but if he pulls the plug on all the other middle east governments, I believe that Israel can take care of itself.
I hope that Cain can pull it together, he is still my guy, but remember folks, Palpatine is weaving his evil in DC we must not fight with each other, our future depends on it.

Cain’s lawyer, Lin Wood, refuses to rule out a lawsuit against the latest accuser.

Especially germaine is this comment by Wood about timing:

Wood also raised doubts about the plausibility of White’s account of the alleged affair because it would have spanned a period of time when Cain was battling stage four colon cancer — a fact that she did not mention in her interview.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1396855720 Brian Jones

I really hope Cain doesn’t drop out over this. There is NO evidence (that I’ve seen), and if he drops out, he will be encouraging this kind of behavior from the left, on a consistent basis, for all of our candidates forever more. We must NEVER allow this lowly tactic to succeed.

While true I’m not a big fan of Cain, I do like how he adds to the national dialogue and challenges our candidates in such a way as to bring out their true beliefs. For him to drop out over THIS BS would deeply sadden me.

Obama is the devil…we’re gonna need God on our side to defeat him. WHOEVER we all vote for (and this is NOT a candidate-pimping post), just make sure they value and respect unborn life. The rest of the policies are relatively minor (to me). I’m very resourceful, so no matter what happens, I’ll be fine! Unfortunately our unborn babies cannot say the same.

If we put forth a Presidential Nominee that will not actively protect unborn babies, I firmly believe God will leave us to fend for ourselves. I really feel like this is our ONE warning, and if I’ve learned anything about God, he’s not much for giving more than one warning…

My RS poll write-in is for Ron Paul

Yes, I know he doesn’t recognize the threat of Islamists (he supported going after the Taliban in Afghanistan though). But, it doesn’t matter because you KNOW he will veto funding for them, and you also KNOW he won’t tell Israel what to do (remember he was one of the few who didn’t condemn Israel when they took out the nuclear reactor in Osirik, Iraq – which some claim was a violation of American law).

Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.

If Cain’s not in, I’d probably hold my nose and vote for Ron Paul…everyone else is either continuing the status quo or part of the GOP Establishment. We have to starve the beast by ditching the IRS and getting some fiscal sanity back into our government. It’s obvious to me that they only people in D.C. that will listen to US are freshmen politicians. After two years being elected, they become tone deaf to our wishes and concerns. Cain is the only candidate trying to do something for us, not Washington.

  • http://twitter.com/113KriEger Allen

By his own admission Hermann Cain said he handled the first bimbo erruption badly. Now with this next round of slander, Hermann Cain appears to also be handling this situation just as bad. Notice a pattern of bad decisions???

While I like Hermann Cain, it has become increasingly obvious that he is not handling this situation very well. Since he and his handlers have not been able to get ahead of these issues that continue to drag on his candidacy, how can one expect him to handle a true crisis of national implications?

To me it is clear. Hermann Cain is not prepared to be President. He should have known this was coming since he knows all these women and he should have vetted himself of all issues from his past. Including going over all his records and issues thoughout his life that are now coming back to haunt him.

Again, I really like Hermann Cain, his 9-9-9 plan is a bold and fresh idea that by itself makes him worthy of consideration. He comes across as a straight shooter with no nonsense logic. But these past allegations and how he has handled them go to the root of the candidate and lets one see how his thought patterns are for handling situation. Most concerning.

I think I will look for another candidate.

(now that I have said it….all the nut jobs are going to come out and bad mouth my opinion.)

Stay in the race Mr. Cain…..How do we get the message out to the “politically uneducated” who are listening to the liberal/lamestream media and are brainwashed? Take a look at Newt Gingrich and his Contract with America, and if Newt Gingrich is nominated, I hope he chooses Cain as his VP. They are the most qualified to run this country. AND I don’t care about any baggage, all politicians have baggage, and it is part of their personal lives and shouldn’t even be brought up by the “mud slinging lamestream media” that loves to discredit people, especially if they are conservatives. Their personal lives will not effect their politics.

If you want a TRUE poll, it would be nice if you included ALL the candidates. Hmmmm, in your poll, there seems to one name missing. Hmmm….someone who is at the top in Iowa and someone who is getting more mainstream attention by the biased media. Hmmmm…lets see…you guys are as ridiculous as Fox News. At the risk of sounding like, how was that someone here put it, “a loon” I guess you know I would be talking about the only candidate who has more economic knowledge than all the other candidates put together, more humility and honesty than any of them, I could go on…hmmmm….get it yet? RON PAUL 2012

RIGHTSCOOP is sooooooo petty! Back when I was not a RP SUPPORTOR I did not know why he wins or comes close to winning straw polls but now I know. His supporters know there is an actually HONEST with a policies that the FOUNDING FATHERS would be proud of!!!!

We are told by RIGHTSCOOP and other blogs, talkshows, foxnews, etc. That we need a candidate that is electable. Meaning someone as corrupt as Newt, a corporate political crony like Mittens. In other words Only The Best Democrat CAN WIN IN OUR PRIMARIES!!!

      I CALL BS!!!!!

Research Ron Paul for yourself!! He is the only person I know that warn of the housing collapse many times before it happen!!!! Look up his issues and tell me he is not electable!!!!!

None of these bureacRat hacks deserve my vote!!!!

Where’s the “none of the above” choice? If Cain were not in the race, I’d sit out the primary, and show up next November to cast a vote for the GOP candidate, because we have to get rid of this “human pestilence” (ht Ann Coulter) in the White House.

My vote would go to the GOP candidate, but my support goes to Herman Cain.

Looks like he’s being forced out by lack of support. I guess he can continue to run if he wants to………sortuv expensive.

“Presidential hopeful Herman Cain is “dropping like a rock” in the latest Newsmax/InsiderAdvantage poll and is likely to be forced out of the presidential race by the end of the week amid reports that a number of prominent conservatives have finally abandoned his besieged campaign.

“Cain is just dropping like a rock,” declares InsiderAdvantage head Matt Towery, who polled potential voters in three primary states on Nov. 28 following allegations of a 13-year affair between Cain and Ginger White.”

I am amazed that some commentors here are even contemplating a third party. A third party will fracture your Republican party and give Obama a second term like nothing else will.

Ron Paul. Period. You have your head shoved up your rear if you think any of these other candidates are anything other than more of the same.

    Ron Paul…

I can’t think of a single issue on which any other candidate favors a more conservative use of government.

Now… the “conservatives” in the establishment will take issue… because they’ve twisted the meaning of “conservative” to fit their agenda. Somehow, they think it is conservative to use government’s power liberally on social issues. They beat us with big baseball bats with issues like abortion, gay marriage, and WOT to keep us in line at the voting booth. But none of those issues have gotten solved by establishment people. Elect another establishment Republican and you will be talking about those same issues in 4 years.

During that 4 years though, America’s economy will sink even deeper. The professional “appropriators” that the establishment picks to be our candidate will preside over the whole debacle. None of the social issues will be addressed and we’ll be owned by China.

I agree with Mitch Daniels… Nothing else matters but restoring our fiscal health and economy. Ron Paul offers a solid fiscal plan to restore America. His record backs it up.

No one else in the race can claim to have the conservative credibility of Dr. Paul.

Call me a “loon” if you want… but not for voting for Ron Paul. I have always voted for the establishment Republican candidate in every election. Every time, we sink deeper and deeper into a financial mess. That…. is loony.

When I cast my vote for Paul, I will consider myself recovered.

I see eveyones name but Ron Paul on the list of who gets cains votes. Stop misleading and cheating the American people !!

  • Anonymous

In the list of who will get Cains voters, what happened to Ron Paul’s name? He is now 3rd in Iowa and New Hamshire and ahead of most of the others. If the media, our main source of information refuses to report fairly to the people then we have already taken the first MAJOR step toward losing our freedom of choice! Lies and propaganda are the main tools used to take away freedom. I hope his name was not an omission.
