I can't think of a single issue on which any other candidate favors a more conservative use of government.
Now... the "conservatives" in the establishment will take issue... because they've twisted the meaning of "conservative" to fit their agenda. Somehow, they think it is conservative to use government's power liberally on social issues. They beat us with big baseball bats with issues like abortion, gay marriage, and WOT to keep us in line at the voting booth. But none of those issues have gotten solved by establishment people. Elect another establishment Republican and you will be talking about those same issues in 4 years.
During that 4 years though, America's economy will sink even deeper. The professional "appropriators" that the establishment picks to be our candidate will preside over the whole debacle. None of the social issues will be addressed and we'll be owned by China.
I agree with Mitch Daniels... Nothing else matters but restoring our fiscal health and economy. Ron Paul offers a solid fiscal plan to restore America. His record backs it up.
No one else in the race can claim to have the conservative credibility of Dr. Paul.
Call me a "loon" if you want... but not for voting for Ron Paul. I have always voted for the establishment Republican candidate in every election. Every time, we sink deeper and deeper into a financial mess. That.... is loony.
When I cast my vote for Paul, I will consider myself recovered.

I am amazed that some commentors here are even contemplating a third party. A third party will fracture your Republican party and give Obama a second term like nothing else will.
Who cares? For decades we have been voting for the lesser evil, or against the other guy. Look where that has gotten us! Look at the members of our Govt. They Largely Suck!! Ross Perot was right about NAFTA... its the reason why our economy is in its current state. Yes the economy has been good but it was an illusion as the Tech Bubble and the Housing Bubble skewed the numbers for so long.

I know right!! The majority's selection on politicians has been absolutely fabulous why listen to someone with a different view on things. Why listen to someone who opposed Iraq war and called BS its not like anyone agree's with him on any issues. Where's the "none of the above" choice? If Cain were not in the race, I'd sit out the primary, and show up next November to cast a vote for the GOP candidate, because we have to get rid of this "human pestilence" (ht Ann Coulter) in the White House.
My vote would go to the GOP candidate, but my support goes to Herman Cain.
If you want a TRUE poll, it would be nice if you included ALL the candidates. Hmmmm, in your poll, there seems to one name missing. Stay in the race Mr. Cain.....How do we get the message out to the "politically uneducated" who are listening to the liberal/lamestream media and are brainwashed? Take a look at Newt Gingrich and his Contract with America, and if Newt Gingrich is nominated, I hope he chooses Cain as his VP. They are the most qualified to run this country. AND I don't care about any baggage, all politicians have baggage, and it is part of their personal lives and shouldn't even be brought up by the "mud slinging lamestream media" that loves to discredit people, especially if they are conservatives. Their personal lives will not effect their politics.
You really do need a none of the above since I truly don't see me voting in the primary for anyone else at this point. I live in Indiana so it doesn't matter all that much by then anyway.
By his own admission Hermann Cain said he handled the first bimbo erruption badly. Now with this next round of slander, Hermann Cain appears to also be handling this situation just as bad. Notice a pattern of bad decisions???
While I like Hermann Cain, it has become increasingly obvious that he is not handling this situation very well. Since he and his handlers have not been able to get ahead of these issues that continue to drag on his candidacy, how can one expect him to handle a true crisis of national implications?
To me it is clear. Hermann Cain is not prepared to be President. He should have known this was coming since he knows all these women and he should have vetted himself of all issues from his past. Including going over all his records and issues thoughout his life that are now coming back to haunt him.
Again, I really like Hermann Cain, his 9-9-9 plan is a bold and fresh idea that by itself makes him worthy of consideration. He comes across as a straight shooter with no nonsense logic. But these past allegations and how he has handled them go to the root of the candidate and lets one see how his thought patterns are for handling situation. Most concerning.
I think I will look for another candidate.

If Cain's not in, I'd probably hold my nose and vote for Ron Paul...everyone else is either continuing the status quo or part of the GOP Establishment. We have to starve the beast by ditching the IRS and getting some fiscal sanity back into our government. It's obvious to me that they only people in D.C. that will listen to US are freshmen politicians. After two years being elected, they become tone deaf to our wishes and concerns. Cain is the only candidate trying to do something for us, not Washington.

Anyone who thinks Newt would be a decent president is ignoring his passed. However, he would be better than Obama, but I still believe the smart vote is Mitt Romney!

Obama is the devil...we're gonna need God on our side to defeat him. WHOEVER we all vote for (and this is NOT a candidate-pimping post), just make sure they value and respect unborn life. The rest of the policies are relatively minor (to me). I'm very resourceful, so no matter what happens, I'll be fine! Unfortunately our unborn babies cannot say the same.
If we put forth a Presidential Nominee that will not actively protect unborn babies, I firmly believe God will leave us to fend for ourselves. I really feel like this is our ONE warning, and if I've learned anything about God, he's not much for giving more than one warning...
I really hope Cain doesn't drop out over this. There is NO evidence (that I've seen), and if he drops out, he will be encouraging this kind of behavior from the left, on a consistent basis, for all of our candidates forever more. We must NEVER allow this lowly tactic to succeed.
While true I'm not a big fan of Cain, I do like how he adds to the national dialogue and challenges our candidates in such a way as to bring out their true beliefs. For him to drop out over THIS BS would deeply sadden me.
