MSNBC’s Wagner & HuffPo’s Fineman Are Disgusted By Worthless IRS Investigation Wasting Lois Lerner’s Precious Time

Today on MSNBC, Alex Wagner and guest Howard Fineman were discussing the continuing investigation into the IRS scandal, and neither of them could hide their contempt as they discussed the idea of Contempt of Congress.

The reasoning Wagner trots out is just incredible. Investigating government abuse is a waste of time because it makes government less efficient because they’re too busy answering for the bad government they’ve already given us?? I mean seriously, think about that.

Fineman is all too happy to jump on the bandwagon and suggest it is Issa who has contempt, not the stonewallers in the Obama administration. Issa is showing contempt by charging contempt, because charging contempt won’t have any consequences!!

CAN THESE PEOPLE HEAR THEMSELVES??? There’s no point in investigating waste, fraud, or downright abuse because it’s going to happen whether you like it or not, there’s nothing you can do to stop it, and you’re taking valuable time away that could be better spent on more abuse.

Wagner even implies that focusing on the “bad parts” is a bad thing to do because it’s bad for the governmment’s bad image!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Scoopers and guests, I present to you the gatekeepers. They have only one message for you: This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
