We at The Right Scoop endeavor to bring you great content and great community and we’d be very grateful for any donation you choose to give. We’ve never depended on your gifts to run this site and I’d like to keep it that way. But there are times when people ask to donate and I’m not going to lie, it can and does help.
We used to run Google Ads, which I preferred because they paid well and were quite professional. But Google banned us because we are a conservative website and they want to starve websites like ours of money in hopes we can’t afford to stay in operation. Specifically, they kept claiming we put forth misinformation and used that as an excuse to block their ads. If you’ve been coming here for any amount of time, you know that we source everything we write about and we strive to be as accurate as possible. Have we made mistakes? Sure. While it doesn’t happen often, we do correct those mistake when we get better information. This is a perfect example.
Because Google banned us we’ve had to resort to using less than professional ads to keep the site up and running. I hate it and I know you do too, but we’ve been left with little choice because Google dominates the ad industry.
So yes, it does help if you choose to donate. But I never want to be in a place where I rely on those donations because it would create a dependant relationship and that could prove toxic, which is the last thing I want to happen. I want people to feel free to come here and view the The Right Scoop without the pressure of donation requests.
