Are seeds of a new Intifada being planted amidst rising tensions at the Temple Mount?

CBN News has a good report out today on the rising tensions surrounding the temple mount after Israel installed metal detectors there.

Watch:

What we’re seeing is Muslim anger over the fact that Israel controls the Temple Mount, which is made evident by the fact that they installed these metal detectors there. That’s what this is really about.

But regardless of how logical it is to want to keep patrons of the Temple Mount safe, Muslims worldwide are angry.

Just last week the spiritual head of the Muslim Brotherhood called for a day or rage on Friday over the metal detectors.

And now Sultan Erdogan is calling on 1.7 million Muslims to unite in defense of the Al-Aqsa Mosque:

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is the honor of 1.7 billion Muslims, not just the Palestinians, and that the Muslim world can not wait to remain indifferent to the restrictions on the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“As the periodic president of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), I again call on Israel to act in accordance with humanitarian law and values,” Erdogan said, stressing that Israel should move away from what would escalate tension in the region.

At some point in the future we know that Jerusalem will be invaded by Muslim countries, led by Turkey, and it wouldn’t surprise me if the Temple Mount is at the center of that invasion.
