By The Right Scoop

Remember when the head of the Bergen County Education Association put out an email praying for the death of Chris Christie? Well after that email was sent out, the President of the Teachers Union offered an official apology and called the Governor’s office to apologize. At that point Christie says that instead of taking the call, he decided to invite her to the Governor’s office for a face to face apology. And that’s when it gets really awesome:

Now that is what I call backbone! Plain and simple. Please put that in a box and mail it to the Republicans in Congress, cause they’re gonna need it.

And to Chris Christie I quote Glenn Beck: “More, please.”

We need other Governors, Mayors, School Superintendents to try and one up Gov. Christie !!

I hope he runs for President ! Just think of the idiots that would be out of a job in Washington !!

Lt. Col. Allen West & Gov. Chris Christie…how about THAT for a Presidential ticket???

      • Anonymous

I like it, but I think Christie will follow in Clinton’s footsteps and stay close to his kids while they grow up – he will try another term as gov. I really respect Clinton for his decision not to run in ’88, but to stay in AR and (relatively) close to his family.

        • DisturbingBehavior

I love Christie, but I totally agree with you here. If he can get two terms in as Governor of NJ, that will actually benefit the country, because it will mean less federal funding of NJ. There is a lot Christie has to work on to turn around NJ and to opt for a Presidential bid so soon, could leave the state returning to its former self.

          • Paulchri

The federal government would rather the states start shutting down themselves to keep the focus off of their responsibilities and actions. If NJ cuts budgets and shuts down gvnmt, it does nothing to effect the size of the federal gvnmt. The fed gvnmt is still growing and usurping states rights. States getting smaller is not a problem for them.

            • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=504624590 Chris G.

I agree w/ you. In a perfect world, both the federal AND state govt’s would shrink to minimal levels. But I believe that the states should reclain their responsibilities over serving the People while the feds get the heck out of the way.

              • Paulchri

Other than the “tunnel” issue, I just don’t see him talking about the federal gvnmt too much. In today’s America, we need leaders on the state level making it an issue as well. He is busy with many other issues, but has had ample opportunity to talk about it. I question his overall position as a conservative. Mainly the constitutional position. He just hasn’t proven anything to me so far as this goes. Give him some time, but be skeptical, I say.

I worry that 2011 may be a bad year for our nation due to Obama & how he was helped to wreck our economy, but on a positive note I am excited by having people like Gov. Christie, Lt. Col. Allen West & Dr. Rand Paul take the national stage. They seem to say what they mean & mean what they say, & if their being honest upsets a few liberals, so be it! :-)

    • Paulchri

2011 will be a very bad year. Foreclosures will increase, joblessness will increase, inflation will speed up, homeless numbers will rise, social systems will cut back, county gvnmts will suffer, etc, etc. We need to be careful about who we blame. Obama is just continuing what has been going on for a long time. He is not to blame for all of this. The last sixty years of social system building, currency devaluation, currency manipulation, stock market manipulation, pension takeovers, legislation and treaties signed like NAFTA, corporate cronyism, attacks on farmers and industry through extreme environmentalism, massive regulation of the supposed free markets, etc have put us in this situation. I haven’t heard too many people willing to shut down the private Federal Reserve System, get rid of 2/3 of the federal government, get out of international treaties, nullify executive orders, protect our borders over the wars, leave the middle east entirely, etc, etc.

If these things don’t happen, we will literally lose our sovereignty. Who has said these things over and over? Only Ron Paul.

      • Jeannette

No, the foreclosure mess isn’t Obama’s fault, nor is it Bush’s; realistically, we could call this the “Barney Franks Housing Meltdown”

        • Paulchri

It happened under Clinton in 1999. The house and senate passed it also, as always. It was not a mistake. The effects of the bill were well known. It happened before in 1907, then made a felony by law. That bill just made it legal again. The country is being run by globalists, who want to shut us down. We all need to understand this.

        • Jeff

It’s certainly not one or two individuals at fault! This goes all the way back to CRA laws allowing Fannie, Freddie and so many others to get greedy. Too much greed, not enough personal investment and hard work spells “Disaster!”
This is where we are now and a socialistic society can’t fix it!

What is it going to take to get this country’s head on straight.

    • Paulchri

Sadly, it will take extreme oppression. Worse than the great depression by far. The greatest depression is coming, and will be much worse. 90% of this country is urban, and in the great depression it was 90% rural. Survival will be an entirely different game. The control grids and police state will intensify greatly.

    • Paulchri

By the way, apparently the Senate has passed a bill that will keep us from growing and sharing our own food. That is, if you plan on obeying.

  • 4rcane

Throw Congressmen Allan West, Marco Rubio, Michelle Backmann, and Paul into the mix, along with the brains of Paul Ryan and the wit of Christie, we have the making of a great nation rebuilding program before our eyes !

Here we go. A couple of choice vid. clips -WAALAH-conservitive Pres.? How many enept teachers have been fired?-0. How many excessive union perks has he curtailed?-0. If you really want to know how much of a real conservitive Christie may or may not be check out—Conservitive New Jersey .Com – A Conservitive Myth — It’sreally disparing to me the lack of Cons. Canidates for Pres. Men like Rubio & West give me hope but are new to the scene, not ready for the POTUS job. Todays cult of personality as in the case of Christie (like Obama) can bring us only greef.

    • Anonymous

Majority of the cuts don’t take effect till June 2011. The unions still have time to make a concession to save jobs. They probably won’t, so everyone will see just how much the unions really care about their people. Zero.

    • Paulchri

Christie is playing the tune that people want to hear in his state. Genuine or not, he is on a good path for his state. I wish people wouldn’t get so excited about these new guys. Politicians say lots of things, and do lots of things, but it usually isn’t revealed who they are for years after they enter the scene. All these posts about people running for President are emotionally rooted in their discontent for the current people in office. This happens every time and we end up with the same ole, same ole. We need to be more cautious of who we support. You have to take a gamble on someone, but let them prove themselves over time.

  • Puma for Life

Christie is a sexist pig. He only attacks women and at the end oh, cute, the guy with the woman is on his side. Does he have the balls to stand up like that to a man?

    • Anonymous

I think he is pretty much going on principle. If the objects have been women I am not sure that is the salient point.

      • Puma for Life

He has the so-called balls to stand up to the teachers union…mostly women.

        • Juliaontheweb

Someone has to stand up to the teachers unions. They are just legal crooks. Teaching our children things we do not loike them teaching them. If we want our children to be socialists we will teach them ourselves. Teachers have decided that they should have the right to teach our children sick ideas obout sex also. They are next to impossible to fire, no matter what they do. I say no more tenure. If they are crappy teachers fire them.

          • Anonymous

            amen!!

        • Anonymous

Thank you. That helps me understand why it seems to ALWAYS be women he has to confront. Women with cahones, I might add. Misdirected energy in my opinion. I hope the Gov can get through to some of them with his common sense!

This guy is the real deal. Of course, the liberals and leftists will try to destroy him. They fear any person, male or female, who will stand up to them and expose exactly what they are. The GOP in the House and Senate could learn from this man.

It’s such a bliss that we have such a man!
It’s such a pity that we have such men inconceivably few on our political stage.

    God bless Chris Christie!
Neither Chris nor every decent American should ever forget the Lenin’s beloved slogan: “Unions are the School of Communism.”

The question is do we want to revive the Soviet Union on our soil?

  • Yvonne Starks

Being from Kansas and having just elected our former Senator to Governor…I can only hope that he will take strong note of Chris Christie and try to emulate him as much as possible in having backbone to stand up for the issues and for us…instead of worrying about “compassion” and “political correctness” at every turn and corner…sorta like Christie’s befuddled chief of staff in this story. :)

That being said, it occurred to me that this could even be incorporated into one of the categories in Jeopardy…where the contestants need to combine thoughts for the answer…

Q: “What Kansas Governor’s name shows strength in dealing with issues?”

    A: “Who is Sam Brownbackbone?”

    • Paulchri

I think we need to decide what is going to save this country. Cutting states budgets is on the bottom of the list. It is not bad, but governors need to rebel against the feds. Without that, they will become insignificant. Obama already created a panel of ten governors and drew out ten regions in America. In an “emergency” or “national crisis” he will appoint these ten to take over the rest. We need to find out who the ten are.

    • Paulchri

The council of governors was created by executive order in January. You can do a search for Council of Governors Map, and find maps of the regions. There are also lists of the current governors chosen. Kansas isn’t on it.

That same stupid “joke” was used by the right last year against Obama (“Dear Lord, Obama is my favorite politician.”) I don’t recall any angry reaction from the conservatives about that! Meanwhile, every NJ town and village is policed by their own force, the county police, and the NJSP. But not a word from this budget-conscious governor about duplication of services! Not to mention their pay, full pensions after 20 years, and pensionable overtime. Again – silence from your Trenton thug. With him, the teacher thing just might be personal – some thoughtless teacher in Livingston must have made a joke about his weight when he was in grade school, committing him to exact revenge some day against her entire profession! And this “conservative” governor even refuses to join 20 others in a lawsuit against the insurance purchase mandate of Obamacare. He has insulted Palin on the Letterman show, and refused to actively support Tea Party candidates in their elections. He will not even take a stand on the Mosque (for fear of offending the population of Jersey City and Paterson!) Take away the teacher-trashing and you’re left with a R.I.N.O.. President? You’ve got to be kidding! Outside NJ, he cannot be elected dog-catcher!

Now its “you people” ? Yes, I agree the person who made the offensive comment should be admonished and even asked to apologize to the governor, but Governor Christie takes it a bit to far when he insinuates that this incident is indicative of a larger problem.
Stick to the issue Mr. Governor and remember that the “you people” you are speaking about represent many divergent points of views about a number of issues and shouldn’t all be demonized for the words or actions of any one individual.

Awesome – yes – the unions and socialist marxists live by a totally different standard. We have tax evaders that don’t go to jail but are rewarded with positions that make sure others pay theirs – even increase every day citizens taxes. We have a real moral dilemma with Democrats – who apparently can say and do anything – and nothing happens – often are rewarded – rather than proscribed from public office – ever.

Gov. Christie is SO RIGHT on.
