The very epitome of the Republican Establishment, John Boehner, just called Donald Trump one of this ‘texting’ buddies in an interview yesterday. Yes, they like each other.
But when it came to Ted Cruz, he couldn’t find it in his so-called Christian heart to say anything good about him. Rather, he called Cruz ‘Lucifer in the flesh’:
When specifically asked his opinions on Ted Cruz, Boehner made a face, drawing laughter from the crowd.
“Lucifer in the flesh,” the former speaker said. “I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”
Boehner described other Republican candidates as friends. In particular, the former speaker said he has played golf with Donald Trump for years and that they were “texting buddies.”
What an endorsement for Ted Cruz!
People seem to be getting bent out of shape over this, but if Boehner said anything nicer about Cruz I would be worried that Cruz isn’t the man he claims to be. Boehner’s vile hatred of Cruz just confirms it though!
Boehner gave Obama virtually every leftist thing he wanted. He didn’t know how to fight nor negotiate. Obama railroaded Boehner throughout his entire tenure as Speaker and that’s his legacy. And this is why he hates Ted Cruz, because Cruz fought back against this.
Cruz is a man of principle and will fight for those principles. That’s exactly the kind of leadership we need in the Oval Office.
So no, Boehner’s words don’t bother me. The malice in his heart for Cruz is just more evidence of why Cruz is the real solution to America’s problems, not Boehner’s texting buddy Trump.
