AWESOME: Mark Levin has been nominated for the National Radio Hall of Fame!

Mark Levin has just been nominated for induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame:

On behalf of the 2018 Nominating Committee of the National Radio Hall of Fame, I am honored to inform you of your nomination for induction this year. Earlier this month, the Nominating Committee convened to review their selections for nomination in 2018 and chose to nominate you in recognition of your many years of on-air success and the audience relationship you’ve enjoyed. Nearly 800 individuals were either suggested or reviewed, with twenty-four (24) individuals being selected for nomination. Sixteen (16) of the twenty-four nominees will be voted upon by invited radio industry participants, while eight (8) of the twenty-four nominees will be voted upon by radio listeners nationwide. You’ve been nominated in a category that will be voted upon by the listening public. You’ll appear as one of our nominees in the Spoken Word On-Air Personality category.

On June 4, 2018, radio listeners will be encouraged to cast their vote by either a text message number or an email address submission. A radio listener may vote once in each form – via text or email – with Votem.com tabulating the votes, as monitored by the accounting firm of Miller Kaplan Arase. Just as the National Radio Hall of Fame will publicize this opportunity to vote, so may you in whatever way you choose to do so, on the air and/or in any digital media form you choose. Separate correspondence will follow in two weeks’ time that detail the specific of how that functions. Last year, some 300,0000+ listeners voted for their favorite personality or on-air show. The results will be revealed on June 25, 2018, when the Class of 2018 Inductees to the National Radio Hall of Fame is announced.

I can’t think of anyone who deserves this more. I began listening to Levin back in 2009 and I’ve loved his show ever since. It’s not just that Mark is filled with the kind of passion that I love, but that he educates people on a regular basis given his tremendous knowledge and experience.

Also, he’s funny. When I first found Levin on internet radio driving down the road in my car, I knew I was hooked when he had me laughing so much.

In any event, congratulations Mark on such a great nomination!
