Protesters are trying to turn Madison, Wisconsin into another Ferguson. A few days ago a white cop shot and killed an unarmed black teen in self-defense, according to police, and the protesters didn’t waste any time in trotting out their ‘no justice, no peace’ signs and ‘black lives matters’ slogans.
But today in Madison supporters of the police held their own rally to support the officer who was involved in the shooting, Officer Kenny, with signs showing the ‘thin blue line’. At some point during the rally protesters showed up and starting shouting the name of the teen killed, Tony Robinson, but Officer Kenny supporters reportedly just ignored them.
Here’s a report on both the support rally and the protest.
