Ben Carson is without a doubt, the worst surrogate on God’s green Earth, but he pivoted a little bit this Sunday and didn’t say anything terribly stupid like most weekends. He did, however, toss the GOP under the bus, saying they’re “late to the game” on minority outreach, but smart blacks will listen to Trump.

This is the travesty of the current situation. There IS a great argument to be made to minorities to persuade of the superiority of conservatism to liberalism, but Trump is quite possibly the worst representative of those values. It’s also unfair for Carson to say the GOP doesn’t do minority outreach just because so few are conservative.
And seriously, will “smart” minorities respond well to this kind of tone-deaf outreach from Trump?
