Bernie Sanders BERATES Tom Price, says America NOT compassionate unless healthcare is a RIGHT

While I’ve been watching Scott Pruitt in the EPA hearing, HHS nominee Tom Price has apparently been going through a similar experience in his hearing where Democrats want to basically yell and berate as opposed to asking genuine questions to get genuine answers.

In this case, Bernie Sanders berates Tom Price on the idea that America is not compassionate unless health care is a guaranteed right for all Americans.

Watch:

As Mark Levin explained many moons ago, once you make healthcare a guaranteed right, the government then has to ensure that there are people working to provide that right. And if you want to see how that has played out in practice, just look at the VA. In many cases it’s a horribly run medical system that has left many veterans far worse off than they would have been if they were going to private hospitals.

I thought Price’s answer about making health care accessible to everyone is appropriate. As an idea, that’s what we all want. Yes, there are some people that won’t be able to afford as good a healthcare package as another. But they should be access to something that helps cover any major expenses they might have. If they do this Obamacare replacement right (which is still in question), all Americans will have access to something.

I don’t mind helping people who truly need help. That’s in fact what medicaid is supposed to be for, to help those who can’t afford normal insurance. But the line where we are helping people who truly need it versus people who don’t need it has been crossed so far that we can’t even see it any longer.
