Blaming illegal aliens for disease is like Europeans blaming Jews or Southerners blaming Blacks – former HW Bush official

Former H.W. Bush police adviser Bruce Bartlett sure does have a deep and abiding hatred for Republicans. When responding to the claim that illegal aliens might be spreading disease among Americans, he said that all Republicans hate all Latino immigrants, legal or not, and then said that it was like the way Europeans attacked Jews and Southerners attacked Blacks!

Then their other expert genius said that viruses “laugh” at those kinds of comments.  It’s good to know viruses have such a good sense of humor.

I’m sure illegal immigration has caused some diseases to spread to America that wouldn’t be here otherwise [as we reported here], but given that many vaccination rates in Latin America are similar to ours, the effect might be overstated.
