Boehner: Mocking? No, I was just teasing…

Boehner claims he was just teasing the other day when he mocked Republicans over immigration reform:

To be honest I don’t care whether he was mocking or teasing. What I care about is his effort to try and push through comprehensive immigration reform under this president. It is a no-go and he should put it back in that category where it belongs.

I don’t believe a word you say Boner.

    • $13245463

      It’s BONER dammit….lol

      • olddog

        OBONER..just Obagger 2.0….

    • Dr. Strangelove

Boner implies something stiffer the wet noodle he really is. But now that I think about it, there is the archaic phrase, “pull a boner”, meaning a faux pas.

  • SisterMary

    What a pantload.

  • rjcylon

I think if he intended to pass amnesty he wouldn’t have sabotaged his own effort by making comments he knew would be widely publicized.

Permanent democrat majority (amnesty) obviously means no more republicans in power. So right there you know it won’t happen. The GOP establishment is corrupt, not stupid.

It also means higher wages for (formerly) illegal immigrants, which defeats the entire purpose of this. That purpose being, broadcast to the world there will be an amnesty, people flood in, you exploit them for cheap labor and have them spend that money here. You really think they’re intending for illegal immigrants to benefit from the minimum wage hike?

Once people start saying “Where’s the amnesty?” do something stupid to make sure it becomes more difficult to actually accomplish, since you never intended to anyway.

And forget about the GOP for a second. Why is that when the democrats had a super majority, they didn’t pass amnesty when they could have? I thought they wanted amnesty, and all these new voters.

Chamber of Commerce/other corrupt entities have both parties paid off.

A lot of my take on this comes from the following article. You have to ask yourself, since amnesty is perpetually imminent tomorrow morning–WHY has it not happened?

    • SisterMary

And people wonder why there’s no trust in government. They are playing both sides against the middle instead of being up-front and dealing with a real issue honestly and enforcing laws on the books.

      Bunch of crooks and scheisters.

      • 57thunderbird

        You nailed it Sister M

  • Freedomswatch

Boehner meant every word and he meant to disparage those who oppose amnesty. No immigration reform, we have laws enforce them. No “cheap” labor for your buddies at the US Chamber of commerce. How about you get out there and repeal Obamacare so that millions of US citizens can get a job!

  • ernst1776

He is an embarrassing Speaker of the House.

  • Texas_TEA_Time

What a smarmy jerk. He was mocking the representatives who still respect their constituents values, and he did it in front of an audience of fellow corporatists. It was one of the rare times bawling Boehner has ever said what he meant and meant what he said.

    • $13245463

That or when he says “give me a light”, “I’ll have another barkeep”, and “hand me a tissue”.

    • Sentinel

  • Laurel

It doesn’t matter if he was mocking or teasing. what matters is he is pushing an agenda contrary to what people want. Amnesty and ‘fixing’ Obamacare instead of repealing it.

I warned people that this is what Republicans would do. Wasn’t a hard prediction to make since this is what they always do…capitulate.

    • marketcomp

      Yelp, progressives.

  • 1vote

    Yeah, we know you Boehner.

  • Wigglesworth

A corrupt RINO leadership that actually had brains would wait until after the November wave election to stab us in the back. Surrendering mere months before the midterms is political insanity.

    • Sentinel

      Spot on.

    • OneThinDime

They will wait. It will be their revenge for firing them. I see Boehner’s threats as just that, threats if they are defeated and our future punishment.

  • sDee

The Republican Progressives are not doing well in early polls against the Democrat Progressives..

  • Kiyoti

~~ Just put a sock in it, on it, down it, up it, over it….yeah we all KNOW YOU….and alotta your compadres up there too….!!!

  • Sentinel

What an ass. A complete buffoon. So comfortable with lying and his own complacent incompetence. What a fool.

    • Butch

Most of them are all the same . Once elected it could be a life time job with benefits , and you can bet no obamacare for them . They should serve four to eight years and get the —- out .

      • Sentinel

        Completely agree.

  • we’re just teasing you by trying to get you kicked out john…

How ’bout we tie him up with a hairy reed…play on words, but I love to do it!

  • Kiyoti

    Yes Father….Amen !!!

    • badbadlibs

An answer to that prayer eliminates every democrat on God’s green earth…just in case anyone was wondering.

      • Dr. Strangelove

        And the RINO’s.

  • Conservator1

Now that Johnny has been attacked in the conservative media while be hailed by lefties and after taking heat from his members in the House, Boehner now claims he was teasing. I have two words for him; bullchit.

RINOs have made this lifelong conservative Republican ready to revolt the party and vote for a third party candidate. If the GOP doesn’t nominate a true conservative like Sen. Cruz, I guarantee this will be my motivation in 2016.

For the midterms, unfortunately it’s more important to recapture the Senate even if that means voting for a few RINOs. Obama must be stopped.

Thankfully on the federal level, I only have one Republican candidate running and she’s a Tea Partier; Dr. Nan Hayworth.

  • olddog

    Oboehner=Obagger (D)ude 2.0…TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • $22716193

I didn’t think he was teasing. I think he is only saying this now because of the well-deserved blowback he must have received since his video went viral. He simply let the truth slip out about the true disgust that he and the rest of the RINO caucus feels toward the true House conservatives and the millions they represent, and it has not gone unnoticed.

If, as he says, the American people are concerned that Obama will not follow through in good faith in upholding responsible immigration reform, then why in the world is he still pushing for it so hard? And why is McMorris Rodgers and the rest of the GOP leadership pushing for it so hard to get this done by August? Makes no sense at all…and this is why he has to go as Speaker. He is a lying deal maker – not a leader – and I don’t think he cares at all if the GOP loses the House as he has always leaned Democrat in the way he deals with Obama and the Dems.

We want a true conservative opposition party in DC, Mr. Boehner. If you can’t lead, we will find someone else who will. Notice served.

  • Butch

What’s the big deal with immigration . If your here legally that’s ok , but if your illegally here it’s time to go . They should be put on a bus , plain or train , and what ever country they come from our government should bill there country for service rendered . The left just wants a new voting base and notting more . If it was not for they vote in the future the left would have thrown them out a long time a go .

  • Lippenheimer

Just teasing? Well we’re not, Mister Boehner. We want your arrogant clown ass out of the speakership just as soon as possible.

  • sjmom

You said it and whether teasing or mocking it was still disrespectful. BTW forget immigration!

  • NanNJ

Listening to that was up there with one of the most humiliating moments I have ever felt being a Republican. He really needs to go. Away. For good.

  • BearNJ

Boehner is useless. When are the conservatives he mocked holding a press conference demanding his resignation because he doesn’t represent the party or its constituents? I better not hold my breath.

The Congressmen have to realize Boehner is a liability. This ingrate didn’t earn the Speakership like Newt did. He was next in line. He’s not articulate, smart, tactical or inspiring. One of the reasons the GOP has fallen so far is because since Newt we’ve lacked a leader in the House who can articulate what the party stand for and deliver on it. Come on Conservatives. Fire Boehner now.

  • LoJoFo

No one with an ounce of sense cares what he was doing. We just want him to disappear.

Can no one get this guy on video all lit up at a bar on multiple nights and generally being the drunk we all suspect and know he is? Then start plastering it all over the web? I mean come on, the guy cries at the drop of a hat, talks about growing up in a bar, is really fat with a wine belly.
Might even be able to find some DC working gals that know a thing or two about him.
Ut Oh, now I am going to be in trouble with the free speech police on the the internet.

    • Liberty Amendments

I think that was the interview he did on the tonight show with Leno.

  • Jose

Ace had a post about this recently.

There is a telling distinction between who you are willing to disagree with vs who you are willing to disparage.

Boehner revealed himself when he went beyond disagreement to outright mockery of conservatives.

  • PapaLouie

Whether mocking or teasing, it’s still a form of bullying. Our spineless representatives in congress must be suffering from Stockholm syndrome to allow Boehner to continue to represent them as Speaker. These cowards need to grow a spine or resign.

  • 31068

Don’t try walking it back, John. You meant every word of it and it was meant for the GOP conservatives that don’t believe in rewarding lawbreakers. Immigration reform is nothing more than blanket amnesty. It is people in the GOP establishment than think exactly like Boehner that caused the Base to stand down in the McCain and Romney Presidential elections.

  • NYGino

“Our members know me.” That’s the problem John, they know you by now.

  • BoSplosion

Hey, John, when I give money to your primary opponent, I’m not teasing.

  • gigi0f3

Instead of “teasing” with the guys, why not just grab 30 minutes in the tanning bed for a little R & R?

  • Charles Hurst

Boehner is the epitome of what’s wrong. I know most can’t comprehend this–I know I sure can’t but I predict Hillary is going win in 2016 thanks to these fools who call themselves conservatives in Congress.

So who is the GOP going to put up? They are going to debate who is “electable.” Check your analysis in the past GOP. You have been wrong for two elections in a row. Would you like to know why? Because
conservative America knew bloody well that McCain was going to do nothing but continue to propagate illegal immigration and continue to run up the debt. That’s why. So a lot of conservatives stayed home or voted third party.

Then do you put up a true Patriot next election? No you gave us Romney. Gee another moderate that really wasn’t going to touch illegal immigration and guaranteed continued debt spending. Two strikes.

So go ahead and put up Jeb or McCain again. Go ahead and keep bashing Cruz. For what? Him telling you to get your act together and fight the rampant spending. Here is the thing—if you keep spending you will collapse as a nation. If you keep letting foreign invaders in then you will no longer be a nation. So a lot of conservatives will figure Clinton might was well get the election next time. Because with your establishment in the Oval Office the result is the same. And
tell McConnell to put the rifle down and shut his mouth. He has already proven his treason. So did Rubio. So when you put them up for election expect to lose again. We heard that speech before, remember? 2004. And you had the entire Congress as well. And you did nothing but continue to destroy the country.

If you would like my fiction to become reality then continue to ignore the debt. It doesn’t take an economic professor to figure it out. It takes third grade math. Eventually you will run out of money. And if you continue to allow illegal invaders to enter our country then eventually the country will be no more. Might want to check the entire history of mankind on that one. So if you’re going to continue the treason let’s not pretend that you are any better than Clinton in office. Our time would be better spent determining how we the people will handle you when the country finally falls.

Total B#@&^*&T by Boehner. This guy needs to go away. elect a new Speaker, PLEASE !

    • remmy

He’s got his ducks in order to retire and get a nice fat paycheck for doing nothing while he plays golf and drinks wine in Florida. But, I could be wrong.

      • Poptoy1949

You know you are not wrong……but I do believe he wants another term. Why? He is just a figure head and useless as the day is long.

  • poorhardworker

Way to “walk it back”, John…except I don’t believe you! You seem to be tainted with the same affliction as Obama!!! I don’t trust one word that leaves your lips!!!

  • poorhardworker

Note to self: Dear John, do not mock people you need…it looks like a small man!!!

  • remmy

So if you disagree with Boehner on his position on illegal immigration and amnesty you get the whining treatment because it’s too hard. I think it’s too hard for him to come out for enforcing the laws on the books. He’s the whiner. Or is the winer??

    • Conniption Fitz

Both, from the looks of him.
