BOLTON: Nobody wants to talk boots on the ground but honestly, does any of us really want to be attacked by ISIS?

John Bolton says the American-led coalition is weak and even the New York Times is calling it tepid. And he believes the reason for that is lack of leadership and non-specific plans to destroy ISIS. Bolton believes that Arab states, especially, are holding back because they are leery of a Commander-in Chief who does’t seem to know his own mind:

I think that is a major part of the reason that the coalition is so weak and amorphous because that is not enough of a role for the United States. And I know nobody wants too talk about boots on the ground but honestly, does any of us really want to be attacked by ISIS? I think the Arab states in particular are very leery of a commander-in-chief who doesn’t seem to know his own mind and I think it follows almost inexorably that weak leadership produces weak followership. And that is what we’re seeing certainly in the Middle East.

Note what Bolton says about boots on the ground. He’s right even though Nobody wants that. But if it’s necessary then we can’t be held back by an ideological position that we aren’t sending any ground troops.
