Sources told the Post that the 59-year-old Pelley’s’ office was “being cleared out on Tuesday while the anchor was away on an assignment” for the news magazine program “60 Minutes.”
The Post report says that Pelley will remain with CBS News, however, in a permanent role as a correspondent for “60 Minutes.”
Oh, that guy.
Pelley has been anchor of “The CBS Evening News” since 2011 and has served as a Correspondent for “60 Minutes” since 2004.
“The CBS Evening News” finished third behind NBC and ABC in the recent May sweeps in both total viewers and in the key 25-54 demographic.
Hmm. Well that’s too bad. I mean, he wasn’t terribly interesting but wasn’t all that bad either. Brian Stelter says it’s shocking how badly they’re treating him:
