The Washington Times is reporting below that Chris Harper Mercer, 26, has been identified by CBS News as the actual shooter today at the Umpqua Community College:
Chris Harper Mercer, 26, has been identified as the gunman who killed nine people on Thursday at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, CBS News reports.
Mercer reportedly demanded to know the religions of those around him before opening fire. He was killed in a shootout with Douglas County sheriff’s deputies, according to Sheriff John Hanlin.
