BREAKING: Justice Kennedy is RETIRING!!

ABC’s Jonathan Karl just tweeted that Justice Kennedy is retiring! He’s been often called the ‘swing vote’ on the court:

For those of you who can’t read it, it basically says he’s retiring as of July 31, 2018.

This was predicted last year in anticipation of Trump getting another pick for the high court. And with the awesome decisions as of late coming from SCOTUS (especially today), this will most definitely make heads explode in liberal circles.

Let’s just cross our fingers that Trump will select another Neil Gorsuch type for the court and not someone like his…er…sister.

UPDATE: As Ed Morrissey points out, Trump picking someone from the Senate would only leave 49 Republicans in the Senate, which will never happen.

Besides, Trump is saying that the nominee will come from his list of 25 that he had during the campaign.
