I know this isn’t a surprise, but it is a disappointment. Trump just waived the law that would require the US to move our embassy to Jerusalem:

Of course as everyone points out it is temporary, but it’s what it represents that I find to be vulgar. After all, Trump promised on the campaign trail that he would move it and did so at the very pro-Israel AIPAC.
But now he’s under the delusion that he can make peace with terrorists so he reneges on his campaign promise.

Also the line where the AP writes that Trump “still intends to move it” really just means Trump wants to keep it out there as leverage for his ‘peace deal’. I think the only time he’d be open to moving the embassy is if the peace deal goes sour or something. But for now it’s clearly off the table.
