BREAKING: Turkey votes to go to war in Syria and Iraq

Looks like the excuse worked, and now the days of the Assad Regime are numbered now:

BBC – Turkey’s parliament has backed a motion allowing its military to enter Iraq and Syria to fight Islamic State (IS) militants.

The resolution will also permit foreign troops to use Turkish territory for the operation.

The motion was passed with 298 MPs in favour and 98 against.

What’s interesting is that the CHP Party in Turkey said they were against the memorandum as a party because they knew it was really about taking out Assad:

CHP Group Deputy Chairmen Engin Altay and Akif Hamzaçebi have stated that they will not support the memorandum as a party, claiming that the coalition targets to overthrow Assad, not terrorist organizations in Syria.
