CNN – Two New York women were arrested for allegedly planning to build an explosive device, a federal law enforcement source said Thursday.
The women, identified as Noelle Velentzas, 28, and Asia Siddiqui, 31,were arrested in connection with a plot inspired by the terrorist group ISIS and others to build a weapon of mass destruction, according to the source and a criminal complaint. They are both U.S. citizens and were roommates in the borough of Queens.
The women were allegedly conspiring to build an explosive device for a terrorist attack in the United States.
