The anti-Trump protester that was shot in the ‘toolbag’ by cops after he kicked a can of tear gas back toward the cops, was arrested yesterday after he outed himself online:
Turns out Joshua Stuart Cobin, 29, from Scottsdale, is a sales rep at Godaddy.
Here’s more:
Joshua Stuart Cobin, 29, from Scottsdale, was booked on three felony counts of aggravated assault on police and one misdemeanor count of unlawful assembly.
According to Cobin’s court documents, police state that he after he tried to kick the smoking canister at police, he it up and threw it at them.
Police go on to say in the documents that he later picked up a second smoking canister and threw that one at police as well, hence the three charges of aggravated assault.
Here’s a more detailed excerpt from the police report, which very much explains why they shot him in the gonads. (Sorry it’s in all caps, but that’s the way it was in the report and I don’t feel like retyping it):
THE DEFENDANT WHO WAS WEARING A GAS MASK KICKED A
SMOKING CANISTER TOWARD FULLY UNIFORMED POLICE OFFICERS.
AFTER KICKING IT UNSUCCESSFULLY, THE DEFENDANT
PICKED UP THE SMOKING CANISTER, AND THREW IT TOWARD
THE LINE OF FULLY UNIFORMED POLICE OFFICERS. AT
THE SAME TIME STAMP ON THE VIDEO FOOTAGE, THE DEFENDANT
THREW A SECOND SMOKING CANISTER AT FULLY
UNIFORMED POLICE OFFICERS. LATER, AFTER RUNNING IN
FRONT OF THE CROWD THAT WAS MOVING BACKWARD, THE DEFENDANT
WAS SEEN KICKING A CANISTER AT UNIFORMED POLICE
OFFICERS. AT THIS POINT, OFFICERS DEPLOYED AN
IMPACT OC ROUND TO STOP THE DEFENDANTS CONTINUED ASSAULT
ON THEM.
What’s funny is he apparently outed himself on Reddit:
He also did an interview with CBS 5 after his arrest where he said the following:
“”I don’t equate kicking or putting back tear gas canisters as attacking police. I never attacked a police officer,” he said.”
What a moron! He picked up an threw several tear gas canisters at police and he doesn’t equate that as an attack on police? LOL!
So why did he pick it up and throw it?
“That was not an unlawful assembly and that I had every right to be there. And that tear gas was in the way of myself and every other peacefully assembled protesters being there,” he said.
It was in his way! LOLOLOL! How dumb does he think we are?!?!?!
