CBS Morning News Host: States are trying to make it HARDER TO VOTE with voter-ID laws

Ugh. CBS This Morning news host Norah O’Donnell said this to Oprah Winfrey this morning:

Given the Voting Rights Act, 1965, I went back and looked. Thirteen states have passed more restrictive voter ID laws in the last three years, that states are trying to make it harder to vote.

Harder? No, not harder you idiot! Voting is a privilege and thus it should be protected better from those who would commit voter fraud and that’s what the laws are designed to do. Bringing ID when you you vote isn’t hard at all. If someone can bring it when they buy beer, then you can certainly bring it when they vote.

Of course, the segment then went NUTS as actor David Oyelowo suggested that, looking at Ferguson, the country hasn’t changed that much since Selma and we still need the Voting Rights Act:
