In my early thirties I had gone back to college to finish an associate degree. One of the prerequisites was a continued psychology class. This particular portion of psychology I had already taken in another state. I figure what the heck. I get my pig skin and I am good.
Any way we had been assigned to do a paper on the current effects of the mass media. I had chosen to do mine on CBS as it was, at that time, my chosen viewing source.
I soon learned, vary quickly how manipulative this faction was being. I started doing research on a new resource called, the internet. Then a mere 6 years old. As I did this i discovered that the news was NOT being reported. What was occurring was and form of subliminal brainwashing, WOW!
So I finished my paper. In it I had referred to CBS as: communists, bolshovic socialists. Turned in my paper and was promptly sent to the deans office for what was actually described to me as, ADJUSTMENT IN THINKING! realy, my thinking needed adjusting? Well I asked if I could drop that class and was told, with a resounding NO I could not. I ended up dropping the entire attempt. I did get my associates and a great lesson on what was transpiring in our country. I since have learned a great deal more by educating myself on the intentional bias of the mass media and have come to this conclusion.
ANYONE WHOM WATCHES MORE THE FLEETING MOMENT OF ANY OF THE THREE MAJOR NETWORKS FOR MORE THAN A FAVORITE SHOW, MAYBE TWO. IS BEING SLOWLY AND QUITE DELIBERATELY, PROGRAMMED INTO THINKING, SAYING AND DOING AS THE STRING MASTER CHOOSE YOU TO DO!.
Now admittedly the wife and I do watch CBS for our weekly show only. These shows are all of a conservative nature and done quite well. We do not watch any of the networks for news of any kind. Our news come from places we choose. It is in no way chosen for us as the networks do.
Remember folks: they are all called: PRODUCTIONS that means that they are planned, developed and then, only then do they go out on the air. Do the research yourself. Find the truth. It's there. All one has to do is look and you shall find.
We are fortunate that there are cooler heads speaking out for the Bill of Rights. If it were me responding, I would have said something like "As long as Bob Scheiffer and by association CBS refers to multiple millions of law abiding citizens as Nazi's, the resistance will just increase exponentially!"
What I find disgusting is when the mainstream media keeps using the dead children from Connecticut as anti-NRA props. In this segment, the showed the pictures of all the people that were killed in Connecticut. Well, OK then, why not show all the pictures of the more than 500 people killed in Chicago from all the gang-related violence there? Is a dead kid in Chicago not worth as much as a dead kid in Connecticut? Nobody in the mainstream media dares address that because then they would have to answer uncomfortable questions as to WHY the gang violence is so bad in Chicago. Does it have something to do with drug abuse, broken single-family homes, poverty, lack of law enforcement, violence in the media, mental health problems, to name just a few of the social issues that could contribute to this problem? Switzerland is one of the most heavily armed countries on this planet, with almost every male in that country literally armed by its own military. Yet the crime rate in Switzerland is very low. Perhaps access to guns COMBINED with low social problems is a recipe for success? But you will never, ever, have a liberal looking at our social ills as the major cause for most of the problems we have in this country. Oh no, that would be too hard. It is far easier to just blame guns and gun owners, rather than actually EXAMINE the people using the guns.

This talk about "fixing the mental health care system" really makes me nervous for a couple of reasons. First, not everyone who has a mental health disorder is dangerous, and I fear that some people who suffer from depression and illnesses such as OCD might have their rights affected. I could foresee the day when some poor person is put on some government list because they take an anti-depressant and are then prevented from buying a weapon. Second, who's to say that those who oppose the leftist agenda won't be considered mentally ill?
You bet they are, 250,000 new members in one month! Gun stores, department stores, sporting goods stores sold out of everything! That ought to tell the left wing media what millions of Americans really think, but they're too dumb to understand or get the picture. If they want to change it, try to change the Constitution. That only requires two-thirds of each house of congress and then they can send it to the states and after seventy-five percent of the states agree they can amend it. Thing is, it ain't gonna happen, liberals and leftist media water boys.

We need a ballot initiative that makes it ILLEGAL for Politicians, News show Personalities, movie or tv stars to have armed guards.
Then see if they would be opposed to Open or Conceal Carry.

Obama consistently uses his kids as props to support his positions. ie: he says " I have two daughters ... and I don't want them punished with a baby."
or "the reason I called Ms. Fluke is because I thought about Malia and Sasha and I one of the things I want them to do as they get older is to engage in issues they care about."
Or ..." I've got two daughters. I want them to control their own health care choices."
It didn't take me long to find these. I'm sure there are plenty more. If he brings them into the discussion, they are fair game.

I believe Mr. Keene explained his position extremely well, and for the most part, the NRA's ad was quite excellent. However, even though there is an element of elitist hipocrisy, especially when an anti-gun type hires armed protection, using the president's children isn't really the best example, because they are a national security consideration. I don't have the golden idea off the top of my head, but there is evidence all over the place exposing the ineffectiveness of gun-free zones. Maybe the NRA could have done more to drive that point home.
