Few people know the pain that Carryn Owen is going through after her husband was killed in the Yemen raid Trump ordered, but Taya Kyle, the widow of Chris Kyle of “American Sniper” fame is one of them.
She defended Owen through criticism that she was allowing herself to be used for political purposes in this segment on Fox News:
The accusation is that Trump was using her grief to shield himself from political criticism since he talked about how the Yemen raid was a success during the speech. Even Owens’ own dad is demanding an investigation into the raid, and he points to the fact that it was ordered on a country in Trump’s travel ban, that we hadn’t had military operations in before, and it was just days after the ban was ordered. John McCain has also been critical of the raid for many of the same reasons.
But there’s a huge gulf between pointing that out, and being a scumbag like Dan Grilo, who called her an “idiot” and is now sitting in an unemployment line over it.
