This interview baffles me to some extent. CNN does a hit piece on Larry Klayman because he won a victory over the NSA yesterday in federal court, having a judge rule the conduct of the NSA unconstitutional as it relates to the bulk capture of phone metadata from American citizens. But instead of doing a piece on the merits of the ruling, one way or the other, they do a big hit piece on Klayman himself and then blame him for going after Don Lemon and CNN in the subsequent interview.
For the record, I know very little about Klayman and from what I do know I’m not sure I’d be in agreement with him on everything or even half of everything. But that’s beside the point here. Klayman had every right to defend himself after that hit piece and then being called a lunatic by Jeffrey Toobin and I don’t blame him one bit for going after them on-air. Truthfully, I didn’t find him all that unreasonable either and was very surprised when Lemon cut his mic and had him removed off the screen. I’ve seen guests far more belligerent that Klayman who’ve never had their mic cut or removed from the screen.
Watch the full interview below and be sure and watch to the very end after they bring Klayman back on screen to give him the last word:
