CNN’s Chris Cuomo reports that CNN is hearing a possible deal is in the works on gun control between the GOP leaders and Democrats. He mentions John Cornyn and Dianne Feinstein:

The current bill Democrats are pushing would give the AG authority to block individuals of having terrorist ties from buying a gun:

According to the bill’s sponsor, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), the legislation would allow the attorney general to block individuals suspected of having terrorist ties from buying a gun. The legislation also includes an appeals process for those individuals who may argue they were wrongly targeted.
“Our priority this week should be this terrorist gap measure because it is linked so directly to the issue of terrorism and extremist violence in this nation and abroad,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) said during the call.
So I’m guessing this is the basis for this ‘deal’ that is being reported about by CNN.
Even if that were to pass, it wouldn’t have prevented the Orlando shooting because this jihadi was taken off of the watch list after being interviewed by the FBI twice.
Here’s the other thing I’m worried about. Did you notice the chyron in the CNN video above?
This isn’t just about suspected terrorists buying guns. It’s also about the fake ‘gun show loophole’ that Democrats are always crying about. The chyron says ‘gun loophole’ but I think that’s really what it means. And that will probably end up as part of the deal too.
