CNN to Obama: Are GOP candidates “uninformed, out of touch, or irresponsible”

At tonight’s presidential press conference, CNN reporter Dan Lothian exposed his bias against the GOP candidates regarding their support for waterboarding. He asked Obama if he thought that several GOP candidates were “uninformed, out of touch, or irresponsible” for expressing that waterboarding is not torture and giving it their support. Obama jokingly quipped in reply “That’s a multiple choice question, isn’t it?” before declaring that the GOP candidates were just wrong:

Wow, you’d think Lothian would have been more subtle about his bias, especially since he is strictly functioning as a news reporter. I would have expected a question framed with “do you agree with…?” or simply “what are your thoughts about this?”. But he exposed himself as many others have, and now we know.

How obvious was that freaking set up! I don’t watch CNN or any of the other lamestream. So dear leader, I guess it’s OK for terrorists to fly planes into buildings, blow up our military with IED’s, attempt to blow up Time Square where there would have been thousands more innocent victims, etc, …….but putting water down a terrorist’s nose with a doctor standing by IS TORTURE???

I used to watch his speeches, just so I could hear his words with my own ears, not some sound bites or the pundits’ spin. Honestly, I can’t even watch him any longer, as I get so angry that I’m afraid I will throw something at my TV, and I can’t afford to buy a new TV!

You know, just once I want to hear a reporter ask Obama a few questions that they lambasted Bush with at every chance, or simple honest questions that America really needs to get the answers to…

“When are you closing Gitmo?”

“In your campaign you promised… What happened?”

“Under your presidency, CIA rendition has increased, did you lie to voters? Which world leaders are you working with to keep Rendition camps open?”

“Is your administration still practicing warrant less wire-tapping?”

“Why are you suing Arizona for it’s enforcement of Federal immigration law, and why are you not doing your job?”

“You promised that no taxes would be placed on the middle class…”

“Despite your drive to create jobs here in America, you personally signed an executive order that permanently destroyed 30,000 jobs in the Gulf of Mexico region when you shut down oil pumping, citing the environmental dangers of drilling in deep water. Why, then, did you give Petrobas billions of American taxpayer dollars to drill in much deeper water off the Brazilian coast? Also, why are you allowing Chinese and Brazilian companies to drill off our coastline?

“During national and internationally televised addresses, you have repeatedly stated that you wish that you could circumvent congress, or have instructed your staff to act without congressional approval; could you define the President’s powers under the constitution which you took an oath to uphold and defend?”

“Could you define the term “treason”?

“Do you believe in the 2nd, 4th, and 10th amendments? Could you explain their meanings? ”

“For at least the past two years, Israel has endured an average of 20,000 rocket attacks on citizens, cities, schools, and land, (not mentioning the terrorist attacks and open calls for the complete racial cleansing of jews from the world), yet you favor legislation restricting Israel’s ability to respond while offering your support for Palestine; Do you believe that Israel has a right to defend itself, and will you support them in that right? – Why or why not?

“You, VP Biden, and other top democrat leaders have expressed solidarity with, and in fact a statement that “We are on your side” to the OWS movement; seeing that OWS is against large corporations, the same you argued were ‘too big to fail’ back at the beginning of your term, and that OWS has called for the end of capitalism and our current form of government; Did you lie to them, or are you claiming that you don’t believe in capitalism or our current constitutional structure? What are you doing as President to further the OWS and your ‘goals’?”

“Noting the above; what is your ideal picture of the government of our country?”

What I would give to get honest, straight-forward answers to those questions, on live national television.

  Great questions. Perhaps when we get down to the debates between the current occupier of our White House and his opponent, a moderator will be unbiased enough to ask him these questions.

So why in the world does the GOP agree to hold debates at these absolutely biased & hostile outfits??? Because it’s the GOP? Can’t wait till the next GOP debate moderated by Al Jazeera, then I hear the next one will be moderated by george soros himself.
There must be 50 conservative magazines and reputable internet outlets. I’d seriously like to see Rush, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin or Mark Levin as the next moderators. And why not??? because they’re not ‘serious’ journalists like these MSM worms?

With the administration now thinking they can do anything without recourse [you know…pass laws without congressional approval] This may be a precursor to what lies ahead with the press.

It’s going to be one big mess this coming year since we have in place a Republican establishment with “NO” spine to say otherwise. The only entity holding up the Re-puke-licans at this point are the recent Tea Party Senators and Congressmen voted in in Nov 2010.

  Good question. They did it in Canada (SUN News, under Pierre Karl Peladeau of Quebecor) They operate on a tiny tiny fraction of the state run racket. And a funny thing happens when you tune in. You get angry… real angry to what’s really going on. Angry that the MSM isn’t covering the real issues about Islam or leftists in media or union malfeasance or Islam in Schools or destruction of classical liberal freedoms or conservative voices banned from the MSM etc. All these items come up on a conservative broadcast. All facts scrubbed from the MSM btw.

I’m not saying the man should be fired. I’m just saying Lothian’s question is an incompetently worded question. Someone should be holding him responsible. Let’s see, the Constitution says that the press has freedom. The Federalist papers says that freedom of the press is to oversee the government and inform the people.
If the press is bias for not reporting just the facts, wouldn’t that mean that the press no longer has the protection of the Constitution?
