CNN: You have to consider Phil Robertson’s pre-civil rights era comments IN CONTEXT

Not only has the media been gone gangbusters on Phil Robertson’s comments about homosexuality, but they’ve also tried to tar him over his comments about the pre-civil rights era in which he lived. Even the NAACP has jumped in and wrote letters to the execs at A&E bashing Robertson for ‘dangerous’ and ‘inaccurate’ comments.

But I have to give CNN credit, specifically from CNN correspondent Tom Foreman, for keeping Robertson’s comments in context as he reported on them. Really, this is some of the best commentary I’ve heard from CNN, unlike comments from Don Lemon and others where they just continually bash Robertson, taking his comments way out of proportion.
