It doesn’t look like Confederate flag lovers are backing down! They made sure that Obama’s visit to Nashville was greeted with the flags waving right at him!

Toluse thinks one of the guys was actually pro-Obama!
I think the motorcade drove right by this guy (or someone who looked like him) waving a huge confederate flag https://t.co/9emSMLFUDR

There’s perhaps no better spokesman for the complexities of the South than Scott Hudson of Flintville, Tennessee. He drove the 90 minutes up from Lincoln County to Nashville in order to greet President Obama.
Hudson loves the Confederate flag. He also loves Obamacare. If he could get a photo with the president, Hudson says maybe “southerners would start to smile at him again.”
I’m not terribly partial to the Confederate flag as a “person of color” myself, but the way it’s been politicized has really pissed me off. The entire country is acting like race relations is a game of “capture the flag.”
[Editor’s note: We originally published this with the idiotic and incorrect word “waive” for “wave.” While English is the author’s second language, this is no excuse, and we sincerely regret the error.]
