Cruz isn’t buying the excuses made by the president’s defenders, that there isn’t any evidence the IRS acted on orders from the White House and the President. He believes Obama and his political appointees should be held accountable for the culture of intimidation they’ve created that gave license to the IRS to target Tea Party and other conservative groups.
Cruz says it was wrong when Nixon used the IRS to punish his political enemies and it’s wrong for Obama to do the same thing.
