Dan Bongino gave a great speech today at a July 4 Conservative Soiree in Maryland where he talks about freedom and why we must fight back against the tyranny of the left. He said our government is interactive, like a boxing match, and we’ve been getting hit really hard over the last few years. It’s time to start hitting back hard.

Love Dan Bongino!Great speech!Come on Maryland!

    • https://sites.google.com/site/warpminesblog/ warpmine

57thunderbird MD has two major stumbling blocks: Baltimore, dominated by welfare recipients in every shape and two counties that are so blue, they rival the sky on a clear day because of the govt workers that chose to live there and you know none will choose to cut their chord from easy govt benefits of work.

      • Dukehoopsfan

warpmine 57thunderbird I live in one of the mostly red political subdivisions and it drives me a little nuts to watch Baltimore city, Prince Georgres and Montgomery counties sway the elections every time.

        • https://sites.google.com/site/warpminesblog/ warpmine

Dukehoopsfan warpmine 57thunderbird I know exactly what you mean, I lived there most of my life, County actually but never the less i picked up and went north of the Dixon Line to York where we conservatives outnumber the brain dead libtards 2:1 and that diminishing fast. WHy, same as always, the liberal virus kills it’s own host and is forced to live somewhere else adn do the exact insane things.

This is Amazing. Love it!  This is a must listen to. God Bless Dan Bongino for this message. This is a fight not only for us, this is a fight we must win, because truly this IS the last chance of freedom and hope for people from every other nation who comes here in desperation.  If America falls to the enemies who are hoping to change it into their communist/socialist/sharia utopia, the world will have no free place, no shining city.  I came her for Freedom. I don’t intend to sit back and have these pos’ take it.

AmericanborninCanada Amen, Duckie, I’ve got beloved family members in that liberal bastion of Maryland, I’d love to see Dan Bongino and men like him get into public offices there…

AmericanborninCanada Am thankful for Bongino-I just wrote to him, and then got to see him here!  Hope he and all the others get on your ticket soon.  I had trouble w/livefyre but also wanted to thank you for your advice, and gentle correction.   Fireworks for ALL on the Scoop!  Keep up the good work.  :-).

AmericanborninCanadaHello there dear one- I am still reading. but not contributing these days, except I still write some letters to legislators, etc.  I think about how hard it must be to do what you do, but am as thankful for it as I am for Sen. Cruz who gets up everyday to make a difference in the Senate.  I do want to mention something today.  I still think sowing to the children is all important and the salve for the nation that will count the most.  I have been listening daily to a local preacher that has been doing an amazing thing quietly for 32 years.  Good place to listen, glean, and apply truth.  I just wanted to share this with you, however far afield it may seem, but really isn’t.  Hoping you will have a chance to hear the messages as well as hear about what they are doing at their FV.  I do this on the chance that it may bring some needed relief into your day, and provide real uplifting, which we all need.  You must click on RADIO on the bar near the top, and then select the day of the week you want to listen to (Friday’s was good).  Also, please consider the whole website. :)

Be sure to take good care of yourself.  Love, Wayt.

AmericanborninCanada BTW, I am a repentant abortion sinner.  I am speaking from that perspective every day and any day of the week.  I am not speaking as a better than anyone else person.  So may that remembered.
Here’s a scripture that to me may support the priority of children first for our nation:  “A man who does not take care of his family is worse than an unbeliever” (1Tim 5:8). So it may be a first priority for the nation to take care if its famliy first?  Possibly?
Why I am telling you this?  Well in support of Cruz I guess and his roots.  And in support of FV, and its example.  Amen!  Have a blessed day.

    • 1guest

AmericanborninCanada Has anyone ever thought of Cruz/Santorum 2016 ticket?? (Or santorum/Cruz). Maybe concentrate the focus, and appeal to all good Americans??  Think it could be galvanizing!!

  • amernow

Egypt was blessed this week. I think it is a good question–Why? They came out for the idea of freedom,–Christians and other non-radicals,shoulder to shoulder,  to demonstrate for it. I think the Lord who gives victory helped them. Can we demonstrate in DC for idea of freedom, with many spokespersons who understand, speaking like this man in her defense?

  • OliviaHT

This is an important speech by a man this Arizonan has been watching for awhile. And I thank you, scoop, for posting it. I do take issue, however, with one of Mr. Bongino’s main tenets, and that is his comments regarding America as an idea, and then his emphasis on the now to the exclusion of the past, especially (he mentions the future, too, but I wish not to comment on that).
America is more than an idea: it is a people with a history, glorious in many ways, a people with a shared majority culture. Here is how Larry Auster describes the American nation: ” . . . the problem with modern conservatism generally [is]: it treats America as a set of shared universal principles, plus an allegiance to the Constitution (a problematic allegiance given that that much of the Constitution has been turned on its head by liberal judicial rulings of the last 70 years). But America is more than shared universal principles plus the Constitution. America is a concrete society, a historical nation and people, defined by a majority culture. Furthermore, the very crises we are currently undergoing are largely due to the fact that that concrete nation and its majority culture have been delegitimized over the last four decades, leaving us only with “principles” and “values” to hold us together. Having only principles and values to hold us together (plus an increasingly abstract allegiance to a Constitution that has been increasingly turned into its opposite), this system has opened itself to multiculturalism.”
    http://www.amnation.com/vfr/archives/010096.html
I wish Mr. Bongino great success in his political aspirations. He certainly knows how to inspire and motivate; but I’d like to see this political philosophy grow and mature a bit, so that when we are hitting back against the left we are doing so on solid footing.

    • PVG

OliviaHT Well stated. Thanks for posting.

    • kong1967

OliviaHT That was well said, but I think you’re both right.   The idea he was referring to was our freedoms.  It’s the central and focus point to everything this country stands for.   The Constitution hinges on the “idea”….to make it a reality and to protect it.   The Constitution is treated as a mere piece of paper that politicians drive a truck through knowing they are destroying what the document originally meant.  We have to remember what the Constitution was designed to protect…..which is our freedoms….the “idea”.
All he was suggesting about the past, present and future is that we can’t redo the past, and you can’t wait until the future.  We have to act now.
I’m sure he would agree with everything you said and I’m sure he didn’t mean to insinuate otherwise.

      • OliviaHT

        kong1967 OliviaHT
Yes, Kong1967, thank you. I did catch his implied meaning about the past, the “redo” part, he means in reference to our more recent past, I suspect, what with the slow-moving train-wreck the GOP has made of itself trying to outdo the statist (communist) Democrats (my interpretation of his point, right or not, I’m not sure).
But I honed-in on his comments about the now because of his repeated use of the phrase, America is an “idea,” that idea being freedom. My point is that if the idea, the freedom to which we cling, is not grounded in something concrete — our history, our shared principles and values, the culture of our people — then freedom can mean things we don’t want it to mean, i.e., license, or the libertarian understanding of freedom shorn as it is of any notion of a moral order and each man is own god. From such untethered notions of freedom we get multiculturalism, itself a direct assault on our history, shared principles and values, and our nation. We get moral equivalency, and ultimately the thinking person has to conclude if one culture is just as good, right, valid as any other, then we are cast adrift with no means of claiming anything is right. This is where the postmodernists want us. (The Christian, of course, has a shield against such nonsense.)

    • Las1

      OliviaHT
Great points.  One thing that has always annoyed me is the claim by
Conservatives that America is an “idea” or a great “Experiment”.  I’ve
always found that notion absurd.  An experiment that works is no longer
an experiment, it’s no longer an idea.
      When an iron ship was
first floated it was considered an “experiment”.  Now that hundreds of
thousands of iron ships ply the seas, no one refers to them as “floating
experiments”.America is no longer an experiment.  It’s a real live cultural and social entity working
and living within a viable form of constitutional government which passed from the
      experimental stage long ago.

      • patriot077

Las1 OliviaHT Both of you express my thoughts on this perfectly. Every time I hear “idea” or “experiment” I instinctively resist those phrases.

  • kong1967

Who is this guy?  I’ve never seen him before but I’m hoping to see more of him.  I loved the speech, and it was heartfelt.  He didn’t use a script handed to him that was full of talking points in order to attract votes.

    • K-Bob

kong1967 He’s a former Secret Service member, who ran for Senator in insanely-blue Maryland, against Ben Cardin.  He was screwed out of a debate with incumbent Cardin and the independent candidate by hurricane Sandy.  (Cardin is one of the most liberal Senators in one of our most liberal states–Bongino got only 27% of the vote.)
Bongino gets interviewed on Fox and other outlets as a subject-matter expert whenever presidential security comes up.

      • kong1967

Speaking of “stand your ground,”  ‘fess Jacobson has a great guest post http://legalinsurrection.com/2013/07/zimmerman-trial-review-how-we-got-here-and-where-were-going/. I haven’t followed it much, but I did want to hear a recap by someone who knows what they are talking about.  So I suggest you skim it if you are interested in this show trial’s outcome.
One of the links in the story (which has several great links in it) is tohttp://lawofselfdefense.com/zimmerman-trial-myth-busters-did-zimmerman-chase-martin-against-police-orders/
It was another hoked up lie by the media’s selective editing.
Even though Bongino mentioned Stand Your Ground, this is really off-topic, so don’t reply to this comment.

      11. Promote
the U.N. as the only hope for mankind.
      12. Resist
any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
      15. Capture
one or both of the political parties in the United States
      17. Get
control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and

associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
      18. Gain
      control of all student newspapers.
      19. Use
student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which

      20.
Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial
      writing, policy-making positions.
      21. Gain
control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
      22. Continue
discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression.

      26. Present

does not need a “religious crutch.”
      28. Eliminate
prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that
it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
      29. Discredit
the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step
      with modern needs
      30. Discredit
the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no
      concern for the “common man.”
      31. Belittle
all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history
on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more
emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
      36.
Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
      37.
Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
      38. Transfer
some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies.
      40. Discredit
the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
      41. Emphasize
the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents.
Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive
      influence of parents.
      42. Create
the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the
American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up
and use [”]united force[”] to solve economic, political or social problems.

There are now eleven states that have more people on welfare than they have working. Is that sustainable? 17 trillion in current debt and growing rapidly, another 50 trillion at least in future liabilities.
The average welfare family gets $168.00 per day in benefits. The equivalent of making $30.00 per hour. This info is from Investor’s Daily.
Norm said lots of poor people are eating out of garbage cans. That’s a bunch of bunk. They’re making 50k per year doing absolutely nothing.
The ever-tightening chains that have been laid unto this country by lawmakers is an absurdity beyond belief, yet here those chains are, strangling the nation, burdening those who still work, rewarding those who don’t.
Then the “healthcare” law comes along and places huge burdens on employers who have to cut already struggling full-time workers to under 30 hours per week. Why not go on welfare and get a huge raise in the process?
There is no common sense left in DC. No morality or responsibility either.
Of course anyone who offers sane, common sense advice about how to get our government back on a sound footing is labeled a hater, a racist, and charged with making a “war” on something. War on women, war on kids, war on poor folks. It’s ridiculous.
The status quo of hurdling down socialism’s pathway drowns out any and all voices of conservatism. Any and all voices of reason.
So insanity prevails. It continues. We can’t even see the light at the end of the tunnel. If huge changes are not made, the only thing we’ll see at the end of that tunnel is a R.I.P sign.

It has taken them over sixty years, but the fruit is now on the vine.  Communists have slowly, incrementally, changed the way most people think.  Down is Up, UP is Down, and to most  people today the whole thing makes perfect sense.

The best thing about this particular video are the pictures.  It was masterfully done.  I wouldn’t change the words either, because a lot of us thought about those things growing up.  Some of us still do.  “Manifest Destiny,” are the fancy words they put on it, but you and know it was rape.  What they did to the Indians in order to take their land?  What they did to the Polynesians to change their way of life forever?
I understand what happens when one culture takes over another, but understanding it doesn’t make it any prettier.

Dan Bongino is a rare individual on the current political landscape of America.  He speaks extemporaneously,  with no notes, no prepared speech, and he does it with an intense passion for the ideals he believes in.
We simply have to get this man a seat in our government.

  • SigEliteDark

    God bless Dan.

  • stage9

But WHY IS AMERICA UNIQUE? I hear all the time “America is unique’! But no one ever explains WHY! An ideal? WHAT IDEAL?
There are places around the world where liberty exists in measure, but WHY IS AMERICA UNIQUE? WHAT UNDER-GIRDS THIS SYSTEM OF LIBERTY? WHAT HAS MADE AMERICA’S THE SINGLE MOST SOUGHT AFTER IDEAL IN THE WORLD?
It isn’t our government. It isn’t our culture. It isn’t our schools or our institutions of higher learning. What was the influence that distinguished us from every other nation on earth? What drove our Founders to adopt our system of governance over some other?
    (I’ll give you a hint: http://www.flickr.com/photos/88171793@N03/9217412922/lightbox/ )
Nowhere else in the world have you, or WILL YOU, get our system of government without first recognizing that which held the hearts of our Founders. We scream about freedom. We scream about liberty and trumpet the success of the “American ideal” envisioned by our Founders all the while minimizing the very Source of their genius! Their “ideal” had an Author greater than themselves!
One thing’s for certain, our reckless pursuit of secularism is NOT going to produce the fruits of liberty. It just WON’T! It’s fundamental tenants preclude it. History has shown us what secularism produces. Look at France. Look at China. Look at the former Soviet Union. Their ideals are antagonistic to ours and no one is fighting to get into their nations.
There is only ONE ideal that produces liberty:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed…” Luke 4:18 (Jesus Christ)
You won’t find this ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD!
Our Founders only codified into laws that which was already written on their own hearts. Until it is written on ours again, you can kiss America goodbye.

That just blew my mind.  I had that passage inscribed on our family monument at the cemetery.  My father and I always loved it.
Too bad the crowd wasn’t listening.

“Tyranny of the Left”  That’s exactly the threat we face, and the source of that threat.
It’s so blatant, even some democrats are starting to question why Dear Leader is reading their e-mails and letters, and listening to the phone calls.  Most lefties don’t really understand the threat that CommieCare brings to us – they’ve been conditioned to socialism by gov’t entitlements and elevate the free stuff from the gov’t above liberty.

He’s right, yet California is a whole different animal.  Love it here, but it is a whole new ballgame…and over my dead body for my conservative stance as an American who so happen to be black, educated, and semi-successful has been and continues to be challenged, even after nearly 25 years.  For nearly 25 years I have tolerated every imaginable behavior known to man.  But because I refuse to open kit and apply tinfoil wrapping around my head, I have been treated like a malady, a cancer, and one who is the bane of those who are maniacal about controlling those who are damn set on maintaining God’s gift to man: Independence of thought, freedom, my friends.  ‘Til death do us part…

Christians need to rise up and take your country back… it is one thing to pray and another thing to use the weapons at hand. The shepherd boy David knew what it was to pray but he did not waste time dealing with Goliath.  America’s Goliath sits in the White House.

Christianity seems to have purged the testosterone from the body.  How different it has been in times past.  They had no trouble picking up a musket or a long rifle during our Founding.
