Darren Wilson explained to George Stephanopoulos of ABC News what happened during the altercation with Michael Brown, from the time he pulled up to them to the moments after he shot Michael Brown.

There were a lot of details in the interview, but the most important was the rationale Wilson used when he decided shoot Michael Brown. He told Stephanopoulos that he had to shoot Michael Brown because he knew if Brown got to him he would kill him. It’s that simple.
