Democrat congressman suggests the 2nd amendment is a way to oppose Trump [VIDEO]

A New York Democratic congressman is asked by a constituent that if a mandate is put before the president by Congress, and the president refuses to comply with the mandate, what is the recourse of Congress.

First, Congressman Suozzi suggested putting pressure Trump via the media, and then to sue the courts. And if Trump still didn’t comply, then he suggested that’s what the second amendment is for:

FOX NEWS – A New York Democratic congressman is being accused of promoting violence against President Trump after suggesting during a town hall that citizens may have to take up arms against the president if he doesn’t follow the law.

“I mean, this is where the Second Amendment comes in quite frankly, because you know, what if the president was to ignore the courts? What would you do? What would we do?” Rep. Tom Suozzi, D-N.Y., said during a March 12 Q&A session with constituents in Huntington, on Long Island.

“It’s really a matter of putting public pressure on the president,” he said.

The exchange was captured on a Facebook Live stream.

After Suozzi referenced the Second Amendment, a constituent asked him to explain the amendment.

“The Second Amendment is the right to bear arms,” the Democrat said. “That’s why we have it.”

Republicans are accusing Suozzi of promoting violence.

Here’s the video:

There were times Obama didn’t comply with the courts and was censured for it by the courts, but I don’t remember any Democrats suggesting the second amendment as a remedy for that. Why? Because that’s absurd. And also back then, racist.

The second amendment isn’t about forcing a president to do what you want him to do. Rather it’s about fighting against tyrannical governments.

But whatever. I guess anything goes on the left in the age of Trump.
