Democrats like Rep. Barbara Lee are indeed obsessed with race, believing that the federal government is the only thing keeping America from reverting back to racism. Clearly she must believe the South is still racist, after all she says that the Supreme Court decision on Section 4 of the Voting Rights Act could take us back to the days of poll taxes and literacy test:
