It looks like the debate that was going to put the ION network on the map just got canceled. Donald Chump has announced that he is canceling it because the candidates wanted him to promise not to run as an independent in the General. But the power hungry Chump can’t let go of that, so he’s canceling the debate instead.

Chump bothers me a little. If you’ve noticed how miffed he is at the GOP candidates for dissing him in this debate, I’m afraid he’ll lash out and run third party just to wreck their chances of winning. After all, he’s got his treasure.

But does he really want to waste a large chunk of it making himself look even more foolish? He had his chance and can only come across as a “sour-grapes candidate” at this point.

Unfortunately, it seems that when you reach a certain level of wealth, you get bored. The next thing you want is power. And when you get way up there in the financial stratosphere, you may believe your own lies, believe you can’t make mistakes, believe you’re special, “the child of destiny”, that sort of slop. You’re surrounded by people who are terrified of telling you anything you might not like, and the stage is set for a power play.

Didn’t obama believe he could stop the oceans from rising and heal the planet?

Oh, come on, Don. Get it straight. No one wanted to take part in it. Accept it.

You think Chump wants to start a war with conservatives by running 3rd party? Probably won’t help his TV ratings, which is what he’s all about.

Yes “he’s got his treasure”. What he lacks is contentment.

Another thing he lacks is consistency. Did anyone think he was a conservative before 2011 rolled around? I never heard him act or speak as one. I have heard of him giving lots of money to democrats though.

Maybe Glenn Beck would vote for him.

Chump had something more important come up:

Figures. All talk but no action. That action always goes to democrats.

The Donald gets squashed again. Stick with bidness, Tramp, politics ain’t your bag. First, Hussein squashed you and now the GOP. Nanny nanny boo boo!

    BS
    DTOM

PS – Your talk tough schtick doesn’t fool real conservatives.

He is a Chump. Watch now, his wounded ego is now going to make him support Obama again in the next election. This guy is all about publicity and feeding his own ego–period.

    Good…

If he is a patriot he will close that big mouth and go away.

What an overinflated egotistical blow hard. It wouldn’t surprise me either if he ran- just for the heck of it and to get even. I never liked him, and like him even less now. Something about guys with a lot of money and even more of an ego, are somehow just sad and pathetic to me. But then again, I’m only a county bumpkin and I like it that way.

I’m shocked I tell you, just shocked… Trump creating drama! You would have thought it!

    /sarc off

Let him run, when he comes off with a percentage lower than any Green party candidate maybe that ego will finally deflate a little…

      Who cares about his ego!

      It’s too big a trade.

I remember him saying positive things about Obama and bashing Bush in 2007 – 8. Sounds like he flip flops as much as the Rom-Nom.

If he ran as 3rd party, it would be to get Obama elected. He has praised him in the past, donated to many democrat politicians (some still in Chicago!) and has tried to play the deck to his advantage every time.

I don’t like him, but he is a smart man. I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama hasn’t already struck a deal with him, just in case the messiah just might be lagging behind. After all, the Donald’s crusade about the birth certificate was just a ploy to help Obama be able to come out at the last minute to say he had one. Made everyone else look bad.

i would hope someone who has trump’s ear will make perfectly clear to him just how much of a pariah he will become if he were to pull a ross perot. seems if he values celebrity status so much it may carry some weight.

    maybe not.

Just send Trump packing for anywhere but GOP leadership.

Good and good. Good that a Trump-orchestrated debate didn’t happen. I never did trust Trump. Good that the reason he cancelled it is known.

And amazing that he was that honest. I guess that at least gives him one point that most politicians don’t earn. Not that I’d vote for him anyway.

O’Reilly was right….he called it over a week ago…he said Trump will cancel…!

Worse is Trump will pull a Periot….I just hope it effects the DemocRATs like Periot effected the Republicans this time.

Wait, wait. If Grandpa Crabby runs third party, wouldn’t Trump be running *4th* party? Or do you think they’ll team up and we’ll see a real Dream Ticket? Paul/Trump… or would it be Trump/Paul?? …Pump? …Traul? …RonDon? …DonRon?

    Da do Ron, Ron, Ron,
    Da do Don, Don.

    • http://twitter.com/113KriEger 13Krieger

It would have to be Trump first….His ego would never allow him to be second!

    • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

LOL That was great 3seven! Good grief, now I have that song on my mind!!

Ron Paul was the first to see the debate for the joke it was.

I like Trump. The debate would have been good I think. Better questions and no rambling and talking points. No Bachmann going ‘Anderson’ ‘Anderson’ over and over. The candidates would get their balls busted like they need to about OPEC, China and those free trade agreements that porked us in the rear end.
