Donald Trump was on Fox and Friends this morning siding with the GOP establishment, suggesting that everybody in Washington hates Ted Cruz and that he is very unpopular there and because of that he won’t be able to get ‘deals done’ as president:
I thought Trump was anti-establishment? Sounds to me just like he is one of them, saying the same things about Cruz that the likes of Peter King or other establishment hacks would say.
Maybe Trump hasn’t figured out that Ted Cruz’s unpopularity in Washington is exactly one of the reasons we like him so much.
And if you have to ‘get deals done’, then what principles (if he has any) is Trump going to compromise to get these deals done? Is getting deals done all Trump cares about?
By the way, here is Here is the tweet that Cruz sent out last night questioning whether Trump will side with Democrats or Republicans:

Exactly. We have no idea at this point or how far he will go to make deals, whether siding with Republicans or Democrats.
