Dutch TV show edits Netanyahu press conference to make him sound like a baby killer

Apparently it was done for satirical reasons, but the many including the Anti-defamation league aren’t laughing:

ALGEMEINER – A video satirizing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent press conference with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton which aired on Dutch TV has caused concern among the Netherlands’ Jewish community, and has been condemned by the Anti-Defamation League.

The film depicts Netanyahu bragging that Israel targets Gaza civilians, particularly children. The film is made to look genuine and splices together comments made by the Prime Minister from various speeches. …

“This video is a blatant manipulation of the truth and a defamation of Israel’s policies and record in the recent Pillar of Defense operation. The real threat of this video is that those who are misinformed, or those who already hostile to Israel, will believe that this video is real and that Prime Minister Netanyahu celebrates in the killing of civilians in Gaza,” Abraham Foxman, National Director of the Anti-Defamation League wrote in an email to The Algemeiner.

The Dutch Chief Rabbi of Holland, Yaacov Jacobs, told The Algemeiner that the fact that such a video could air to a wide audience is symptomatic of the polarized atmosphere in the Netherlands press today.

Here’s the video:

That hatred of Jews is unreal. These people are human beings for crying out loud. It is unbelievable the amount of BS people take in for truth!

    • stage9

The question is, who gains from the hatred of Jews and Christians the most? Whose kingdom do these two groups threaten?

You’re never a threat to satan unless you’re doing the will of God.

Islamists don’t threaten satan’s kingdom, nor hindus, buddhists or any pagan — he has them already; but speak the name Jehovah or the name YHWH (Jesus) and all hell breaks loose.

      • E. Lee Zimmerman

The Muslim Brotherhood does. That’s for sure.

      • sjmom

It’s time to be a threat to darkness and shut them down. The Lord inhabits the praise of His people, so let’s raise our hands high and give praise to the God Most High. Then, we’ll put darkness to flight. Amen.

      • No words except God bless Israel and her leaders through this darkness. http://youtube.qr.net/jOen/watch?v=ZHL6wiGUymI

  • *#&#*($!!! WHAT?! That’s Disgusting!! I’m sorry, I’m @*#&@ (insert your own adjectives) I need to shut up now.
Lord God, please give Bibi strength and wisdom through these days.

  • I think I was just convinced to start digging my long overdue bomb shelter.

  • stage9

The MSM does this every day in America!

  • las1

And now you see a very nasty part of Dutch media culture… that sewage like this flows liberally from their many state subsidized broadcasters with little push back by the populace. And like in England… they pay a viewing tax.

As they are so fond of saying about Bill Maher and Jon Stewart: it’s only comedy, right?

    • And yet they have laws against this. Will anyone be prosecuted like Geert Wilders?

      Somehow I doubt it.

      Western civilization is falling.

      • las1

Yeah… VARA pulled the Wilders-as-Hitler cartoon not because it was a vile and libelous smear, but because… now get this… VARA feared for the safety of its employees. Huh! So “thugs for Wilders” were going to go all Jihad on VARA. That’s “alternate universe” material. You can’t make this stuff up.

        • E. Lee Zimmerman

Somewheres the other day, I’d read something about the Nazi Party infiltrating the Muslim Brotherhood post-WWII. I don’t know if this was a satire piece (what I read) or not, but can anyone shed light on that?

          • It wouldn’t surprise me seeing as they were all tight during Hitler’s day.

            • E. Lee Zimmerman

Yeah, I’m off to do some research … I know I read that somewheres …

      • E. Lee Zimmerman

        Indeed. The sky IS falling.

  • Considering the rise of antisemitism in Europe I wouldn’t consider it funny either.

    • E. Lee Zimmerman

Oh, it’s certainly not funny. It’s downright offensive, even if it was intended as a joke. I’m just not sure what can be done about it. Is there an email address we can flood the broadcast station with?

  • colliemum

I’m appalled that the Dutch seem to think Operation Pillar of Defense was something to make jokes about.
I am even more appalled that they thought it was funny to put all those words into the mouth of Bibi Netanyahu which the Left has been and is using all the time to smear Israel.

This is disgusting, and when the Dutch do this, it shows how the cancer of Jew Hate has again infested Europe.

  • Well, knowing how much anti-semitism there is out there, it is still stunning that so many Jews in this country still voted for Obama. Well, I hope they’re happy with their choice. Don’t come whining to us if Obama ends up throwing Israel under the bus for some sort of “peace” deal with Iran. The closer Iran gets to a nuclear bomb, the greater the temptation for Obama to just cut a deal to avoid a confrontation with Iran. Part of that deal will be the selling out of Israel. Hope Congress is up to the task of stopping it.

    • E. Lee Zimmerman

See, that’s the rub. How could they bring themselves to vote for Showbama not once but twice? I just don’t understand what they thought would happen differently post-election.

    • PovrlaChasse

Yeah, I have to say I agree. American Jews are a strange lot aligning themselves with the virulently anti-Semitic Left. No one that I know understands it. I would not be surprised at all if a video like this was made in America by American Jews. Some of them are more anti-Semitic than Hamas. I don’t know why that is.

It is interesting that if any of the things faked with Netenyahu were actually said by Hamas, and many of them have been said by Hamas, the terrorist would be considered a freedom fighter by the world. Israelis are expected to be civilized. Arabs are expected to be savages. That is the only reason the video is interesting in any way. This kind of talk is expected from Hamas, not Israel.

  • E. Lee Zimmerman

Wow. That’s an unreal edit. I don’t know that it was intended as ‘satire,’ per se. It’s pretty offensive, even if intended as a joke.

I’d call for a missile strike on the Dutch. Let’s see who’s laughing then.

    • las1

Believe me, there are plenty of Dutch who are disgusted with what is going on in Holland. But they are getting older now, and the contamination runs so deep with the younger ones.

      • E. Lee Zimmerman

That’s so sad. I didn’t know that about Dutch society, though it’s kinda/sorta following pace with the rest of the world, methinks.

  • BeyondPolls

Shocker! It’s from the uberliberal Netherlands. Zioniphobia at its best.

  • Maybe the Dutch producer was high when he made it. For obvious reasons, that is.

  • sjmom

Holland is where Anne Frank hid in the attic from the Nazis. I’d say anti semitism is still alive and well there.

    • colliemum

Jew Hate went underground in Europe after WWII and after the terrible facts of the Holocaust became public knowledge. It never really went away.
Now, with muslim populations growing everywhere, it’s coming back into the light of day, even in Germany. And the left MSM everywhere promote it, because the Left has always hated Jews.

      • sjmom

Anti semitism like persecution of Christianity comes from the same source; the pit of Hell. Satan hates God and therefore anyone who serves Him and with the defeat the Lord Jesus Christ put on him Satan is still trying to overcome that loss but it’s never going to happen.

“which none of the princes of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” (1Cor. 2:8)

Satan will never shut down the Jews and as Jesus said the gates of hell will not prevail against His church. We need to remember this and stand for Israel because God is with them and us.

IMO this is why Europe is failing so badly and also why American is not far behind. I know there is revival in parts of Europe going on and I pray it spreads far and wide.

        • colliemum

Christians must stand with Israel, because without the first Covenant between God and Abraham there would not have been the New Covenant, sealed with the blood of Christ on the Cross.
I keep reminding myself of what I read in a commentary to Ephesians, where St Paul tells us to put on the armour of Faith: every one of us must do this daily, we’re all foot soldiers in the battle against Satan.
We do not know, cannot know, how important our own little contribution is, but like soldiers in the fog of war we know we must do what we’re asked to do in the place we were given. All we know is that we must not fail to get up every morning, put on our armour of Faith, and do battle, no matter how weak and feeble we are.
We certainly are living in the times where the sheep are being separated from the goats.

          • sjmom

            I agree wholeheartedly.

  • RobertMahoney

This pretty much sums up how I feel, and I’m Dutch.

    • las1

      Great vid.

Van Mahoney is a pretty common name in Zwolle, is it not?

      • RobertMahoney

LOL, I am adopted by the Irish, but my biological family is Stam.

  • WordsFailMe

I couldn’t have said it better my self. I wanted to stand up and salute.

  • Sober_Thinking

If Israel were Hamas or any other hair-brained radical wasteland group, a stray missile would find its way over to the place where this travesty was edited.

The Dutch group that aired this should lose their license at the very least.

There’s nothing funny about it… whatsoever.

…the media and its PROPAGANDA is SICK , SICK , SICK !”

  • Nukeman60

Was this an Obama campaign ad? I thought I heard someone at the end say, “I’m Barack Obama and I approve of this message.” I don’t know, it might just be my ears.

  • DCGere

This is appalling. And yet many seem to deem it “satire”. Shame on them.

  • CTsOpinion

This along with other building anti-Semitic events in Europe affords students of history a better understanding of how the Holocaust was made possible. It wasn’t just the demons of one deranged German paper hanger or the Germanic people, it took a world of hate to murder so many. There is a lot of hate in the world today and too many ready to exploit it.

    End Times

The world has turned on Israel just as it was described in Revelation.

Bible Prophecy also says that the Jewish people living under Palestinian rule in Judea will be slaughtered by the Palestinians. I think it is to happen about 3 1/2 years after the peace treaty is signed. The Jews living in Judea have been warned and told not to return to their homes but to go up to the mountains at this time. Go toward and into Jordan.

Interesting to Note: A Peace treaty concerning Israel and Palestine is being pushed by the UN, Palestine, the EU and America to be signed December 2012. If this treaty is signed, we will know that we are indeed living in End Times and we have 7 years of tribulation before Christ returns.

Probably will win some sort of journalistic award for creative editing. Then cnn & msnbc can air it.
