EPIDEMIC? 5 black teens attack 77-yr-old man near Pensacola, Florida

Is this an epidemic or what? It seems like every day now we are reading about black teens attacking some vulnerable person and in some cases for no reason whatsoever. It isn’t determined in this case why the attack on the 77 year-old-man occurred but it is quite disturbing nonetheless:

PNJ.COM – Four West Pensacola juveniles and a 19-year-old attacked a 77-year-old man Monday night, according to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Demetrius Wilson, 12, Javontae Wilson, 13, and Keyon Black, 16, are each charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery on a person older than 65 years of age.

Alicia Wilson, 15, and Shaknee Golay, 19, are each being charged with aggravated assault on a person older than 65 years of age.

The incident happened about 9 p.m. Monday when dispatchers received a report of several teenagers chasing a man with a stick, the news release said.

The victim, John Garland Redick, encountered the teens on a boardwalk near the Big Lots parking lot at the 400 block of North Navy Boulevard and was assaulted, according to an arrest report.

Deputies arrived at the scene and observed several teenagers fleeing to the Murphy gas station nearby.

A witness said that the juveniles approached the victim on the boardwalk and chased him into the street, hitting him several times with a stick and throwing a soda can at the back of his neck, according to an arrest report.

The victim declined treatment and the juveniles and Golay were transported to the Escambia County Jail.
