What I am saying is that if we get a defeatist attitude then they win. If I wanted someone to do the heavy lifting for me or any of the work for me I would be a Democrat. No need to cause offense. I intend to keep fighting on every level that I can.
Evil is not an abstract concept. It is not some ephemeral quality difficult to define or subject to the whims of relativism. It is not just an act, but the intent behind the act.
It is evil to steal the fruits of labor derived from the sweat of the body or the effort of the mind and give it to another. This is not liberty; it is not freedom; it is not American. We reject the very idea of a few who would lord over us wrapped in the garb of tyrants, filled with the contempt of the unwashed masses and so drunk on power their twisted logic excuses and rationalizes their actions. Only a sick mind belongs in such a pit of malfeasance. We stand proud and free, unafraid, reflecting the contempt of the tyrants back to its source.
It is we who stand on the side of right. It is we who hold the Constitution sacred and stand unmoved by the revisionism of those whose agenda is to exert power over us. It is we who know that government is subservient to the people; we are not serfs to the illegitimate kingdom that is Washington DC. They do not own us, though they will try. They do not honor our rights, though they claim to. The founders warned us of these tyrants, that they would one day reappear. That day has come.
It is those who practice that act of theft in the pursuit of power, those that enslave the populace to their so-called charity, who need us. We are free. We live in the spirit of liberty. We do not need them. We deem their actions unlawful and abhorrent.
Do not fear these lowly thieves, for even in their sickness they are aware of our power and are afraid. They cannot break us, and this fact troubles them and defines them by their fear of us. When the tyrants call us names in a laughable attempt to marginalize us, it is through fear they speak. When they say we cling to our guns and religion, it is their despair that speaks for them. For our spirits bright with the shining light of liberty. Their darkness cannot withstand even the smallest of candles among us. Together, the evil of socialism they represent will perish, and all signs of their foulness swept into the dustbins of history. By will, by conviction, and by moral rightness shall we prevail. They are like leaves that blow away with the slightest wind - the smallest of breezes. Our enemies are feeble. If we recognize and own this fact, their weakness will be no match for our resolve.
We hereby swear to work tirelessly in the effort to vanquish the ideology of thieves, the evil of socialism, and the enemies of liberty; to aspire to bring this nation back to its constitutional foundations where the power lies in the individual. We vow to honor the ideas of empowerment and independence, to make them terms of common use and action, understood in their original context and intent. We vow to buttress such thought through sheer will and determination, and in doing so drive the vultures far away. We vow to set the foundation of such thought so when evil dares to return in any guise, its unsightly countenance will be turned away once again by those who come after us.
This is one of the best threads Scoop has ever produced. In a day or two, it will be history. Because some new thread will take over, and replace it. All of the thought and energy that went into all the posts and comments the members made, will be lost in the archives.
I'm not an enemy of The Right Scoop. Scoop is an island of sanity, in a world of madness.
If something like Scoop did not exist, I wouldn't know where else to go, on any given evening, to find people of a like mind, to discuss the really important things, that affect all our lives.
But even Scoop can be improved, made better.
I have asked more than once, for a continuing thread. A running conversation of current events. A continuing conversation of the most important issues facing us.
What we get instead, is an endless continuation of one thread after another, where all of us have to keep jumping from one conversation to another, and leaving behind, all the comments and energy we put into all those other posts, which are now history.
Scoop, you have never responded to even one of my comments. Not one. You are distant.
You have created a wonderful site, that we all enjoy. But I want an answer on this. I want to know I am dealing with a real human being.
I want an answer to my question. I want to know why you respond to some members, and not others.
I want to know who you are.
I wrote Cong. FrankenFeinstein and copied the Marine's letter and left her my own sentiments of how she, nor any other gov official, will ever learn of the weapons I have nor deprive me of my Constitutional rights! Here is her non-response. Keep flooding her inbox!!

It's a hoax people. Don't embarrass yourselves by spreading it. Why in the world do Americans fall for this stuff every single time, then make themselves look foolish? Is it just America or it this a global phenomenon? Apparently the rest of the world thinks it is just us Americans which is why Nigerians made tens of millions scamming people with the "I am the wife of the late President Ooga Booga", and why Russians have made 100's of millions scamming adoption victims, or why Feed the Children and others have made Billions broadcasting children with flies in their eyes and laughing all the way to the bank until they get caught. Which they did!!!! Come on people. This is really embarrassing. Remember, when you see something sensational on the net, stop drop and roll. Think about it. Search for supporting evidence. Beautiful ! And you should see some of the comments at The Journal News regarding their halfass attempts to justify smearing anyone who applies for a permit. Some were as far away as Texas and Florida. Ah the wonders of an "advanced industrial nation".
Personally, I would not write to Feinstein, but rather inform sane americans about what she is up to. She already knows she is pushing Hitler's 1938 gun ban. She does not care that I already know. But I sure as heck am going to make sure everybody else knows. So this 'open letter' by Boston is right on the mark, and I'm grateful that he said it. Thank you.
I wrote to her and my Reps last week on this subject. I will not give up or register the weapons I posess to protect myself and my family from enemies foreign and domestic. I fought for Freedom, not Fundamental Change. USAF Vietnam Vet 1968 to 1974.
Many Politicians and Celebs are calling for gun control when they either have weapons of their won or hire armed body guards. We have a double standard in our country and the side that is trying to tell us we can not have weapons has their own.
We surely do not need the UN telling us what we can or can not have, after all it was a Japanese leader that wanted to attack our shores many years ago and one of his Naval commanders said that would be a terrible mistake as there is a gun behind every blade of grass and I think we should keep it that way.
Yesterday, Roger Hedgecock was talking about the Dec. 17th shooting in a San Antonio Theater (two days after the Newtown shootings) that the media has stuffed in their "move along, nothing to see here" file. The reason...A female off duty police officer, shot the terrorist 4 times, using only four bullets, in a theater full of frantic movie goers and those fleeing the restaurant the assailant began his shooting in.

On Sunday December 17, 2012, 2 days after the CT shooting, a man went to a restaurant in San Antonio to kill his X-girlfriend. After he shot her, most of the people in the restaurant fled next door to a theater. The gunman followed them and entered the theater so he could shoot more people. He started shooting and people in the theater started running and screaming. It’s like the Aurora, CO theater story plus a restaurant!
Now aren’t you wondering why this isn’t a lead story in the national media along with the school shooting?
There was an off duty county deputy at the theater. SHE pulled out her gun and shot the man 4 times before he had a chance to kill anyone. So since this story makes the point that the best thing to stop a bad person with a gun is a good person with a gun, the media is treating it like it never happened.
Only the local media covered it. The city is giving her a medal next week. Just thought you’d like to know

I don't own a gun, but I do believe in our 2nd amendment right to bear arms. I believe she (Feinstein) is barking up the wrong tree and I told her as much.

Love it! He's right. These politicians have forgotten something. They work for us, not the other way around. They act as rulers, not reps of the people. They alone have decided what is good and bad and are legislating accordingly. Constitution, what constitution!
They say guns are bad, they make laws, and take them away. Sugar bad, restrict it says Bloomberg. You're too rich, well tax you so we can take it and give it to who we wish! This is insanity!! I was reading an article on I think Breitbart where some leftist swinehund was talking through his a$$ about killing NRA members are prying guns from gun owners' cold-dead hands. And I'm thinking, oh really? Is that slimeball going to actually participate in said enterprise? Nah. He'll talk shite and bark at the moon. Yet he and others like him make the case for gun ownership with every screed that he/they write. The left makes lots of threats. Let's just see if they can carry out their threat. There's 300 million+ guns in this country. Something like half of all US households owns one or more guns.
Does the left really think that they are just going to barge into American homes and take our guns without a fight? This ain't Europe. And it ain't Canada. So good luck with that idea.
I know of cops and military people who will NOT carry out an order to disarm gun owners. There are several counties in this country who have already shown their allegience to their citizens over the Fed.

To all Dim Witted Politicians
Gun Control, the very term stirs fears and concerns from the citizenry that you, YOU politicians, promised to serve and protect. We will get back to this idea momentarily. The issue of gun control has become a rally cry from many citizens who have no concept of what has caused the pain and suffering they want to end. Instead of attacking the true origins of the problems that directly caused the events such as Columbine Co., Paducah Ky., Virginia Tech Va., Sandy Hook elementary Newtown Ct., and so many others, is the fearful uniformed masses willingness to blame a gun, rather than the person who wielded it. To better understand this point read this story about the findings on Columbine.
Now for the politicians, and I mean all of you. Your job is to protect and serve this nation, with well thought out and planned measures to promote the inalienable rights of all Americans. Instead many of you will attack the object of a problem rather than the source of the problem. Instead of acting like you have an operating brain in your skull, you like so many other knee jerking, gun hating, self serving, delusional, uninformed citizens attack guns as a problem rather than the real issues. Mental health in this nation leads to more problems than guns, cars, planes, trains or any other instrument that could ever cause injury or death. In the minds of many politicians if an inanimate object is deemed dangerous, it must be destroyed. By default then anything that can be used to serve evil must be done away with. The only problem with this line of thinking is who is to tell us what is evil and what isn’t? I for one believe that most politicians are evil. I’m sure I could get more than a few to agree, so do we hunt down every politician we dislike and neutralize them? The answer is NO, but this is the same answer to the question of guns, NO we must not side track the real issue if this important subject. Guns are not the problem, criminals, and mentally ill people cause these horrific events. We as a nation were built on the principle that all of her citizens should be able to defend themselves and their property. Now many politicians wish to steal away our 2nd Amendment rights under the guise that guns are evil. In fact, the current misguided thinking of gun haters is that if all guns were outlawed, there will be fewer violent crimes. What will they say about the murders of Nicole Brown-Simpson and Ron Goldman? Are these two any less dead because a gun wasn’t used? What about the L.A. Riots after the Rodney King verdict, any of the people beaten to death would be less dead because a gun wasn’t used? What about the number of people killed by the drivers of autos who were texting, would they be any less dead, or their loss felt any less because a gun wasn’t used? The answer to all of these questions is NO, all of these people would still be dead and more criminals would be emboldened to steal and kill even more. No matter what walk in life you belong to, king or beggar, President or citizen, you can’t alleviate your personal responsibility for your actions. Blaming a gun, for what YOU did is nothing more than a lie and is cowardly.

Although writing this letter is a good thing, and I'm glad it's gone viral (it looks like social media is the only way we can get through to these blind and deaf dunderhead politicians), I suspect that any emails sent to her office will not be read by her and will only result in a form letter returned to us asking for a political donation.
That's all I ever get anytime I write to my representatives. But at least it puts one or more people to work responding to them. Job creation at it's finest.

Oh sure, there's a couple single and double round hand guns out there but they are far more exception, rather than the rule. A Glock 17 has a 16 round magazine, for instance. Most 9 mm hold 8 rounds.

I wish I had a picture of it but a nursing home was sued in MN because of goose droppings. They cleaned the sidewalk every morning but geese will be geese. Someone slipped on the green slime and sued. The nursing home was ordered to put up Goose Crossing and Dropping signs.
And they are the first to say that gun owners need to protect them and their families, yeah not this kid!
I saw that episode. He came back at the end of the program to exclaim vehemently that he really did know the difference (someone must have pointed it out and explained it to him). He said over and over again to not know would be just stupid and I thought, for once Bill, I agree with you. It would be stupid.

The best sign I've seen yet is next to a lake at the VA hospital in St. Pete Fla. It says, "Please don't feed the Alligators, they may mistake a hand for a hand out".

Even microwave food isn't safe... They give you instructions to heat up the food, and then put a "Warning food will be hot" on it. I get the feeling somewhere a way back some moron burnt his hand taking something out, and instead of feeling a bit embarrassed for not being careful, he just sued them because they didn't warn him... You can't fix stupid and when stupid and Liberal breed, you better watch out! That's a special type of stupid right there!
If I'm not mistaken, O'Reilly believes our semi-automatic hand guns belong in the classification of "heavy assault weapons". I've heard him use that term many times.
You got it. Exactly the kind of people who would shoot somebody they weren't aiming at, or accidentally put a bullet in their own foot.
And O'Reilly, being the Lounggg Island 'metrosexual' who never served that he is, either didn't catch this double talk, or chose not to challenge him on it.
What I have noticed about those who scream the loudest against gun ownership is that they are the ones who have the least gun knowledge and know the least about gun safety. Given a gun, they are the very people who would abuse the use and therefore are the very ones who should never own one.
You don't need to be intelligent, imaginative, curious or even articulate to be a liberal or a member of the Democratic party. All you need is an opinion and you're in. Any opinion will suffice. The Dem's have the same kind of membership requirements as the A**hole Club.
