Fox News is reporting that the POPE wants to change the Lord’s Prayer!!!

Uhhh this is idiotic. He doesn’t want to change the prayer, he wants to change the translation for a better one.

Pope Francis has said the Roman Catholic Church should adopt a better translation of the phrase “lead us not into temptation” in the “Our Father”, the best known prayer in Christianity.
Pope Francis has suggested he wants to make a change to The Lord’s Prayer, widely known among the faithful as the “Our Father.”
Specifically, the Catholic leader said in an interview Wednesday he would prefer to adjust the phrase “lead us not into temptation,” saying that it too strongly suggested that God leads people to sin.
“That is not a good translation,” the pope said, according to Reuters.
The phrase “do not let us fall into temptation,” which the Catholic Church in France has previously decided to use, would be a more appropriate alternative, Francis said.
I have frankly wondered at the translation in the past, because there ARE some heretical teachings that say that God actually literally leads people into sin. But for Fox to exaggerate what he says is absurdly alarmist and sensationalistic – just about the only thing we get from Fox News these days.
