By The Right Scoop

This is the full exchange between Sen. Bob Corker and Sen. Ted Cruz where Corker suggests that Cruz and Lee are holding up the vote on the CR until tomorrow just so they can be on TV. But more than that Corker plays dumb on voting for cloture tomorrow, suggesting that a vote for cloture (ending debate) is a vote in support of the House CR.

But that’s completely dishonest because as soon as they vote to end debate on the House CR, Reid is going to propose an amendment to strip out the House language that defunds Obamacare and it can’t be filibustered. It will pass with a simple majority. Corker knows this but plays off the simple majority amendment process that Reid will invoke as something that’s been around for ages and nothing to be concerned about. But Cruz continues to point out to Corker that a vote for cloture tomorrow will indeed be a vote to give Harry Reid the power to fully fund Obamacare.

Also watch to the very end, just past Durbin’s little speech, and you’ll see Corker throw both Cruz and Lee completely under the bus, siding with Durbin. It’s disgusting.

I am so sick of the games being played. This is the future of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA you’re playing with …. and that includes my life ….

  • orthodoxyordeath

I was under the impression Corker was a good egg. What happened here? Have I just missed something over the past year?

    • Thelmadb

YES, HE IS A SLEAZE BALL. AS MARK LEVIN WOULD SAY…

    • Blair Watson

Ya you missed the large yellow streak down his back…a coward and obama useful idiot

    • Stacey Shoemaker

seems that this incident chased a lot of cockroaches out into the open.

    Convention of States

    Purpose: The
Convention of States (COS) Project was founded by Citizens for Self
Governance for the purpose of stopping the runaway power of the federal
government. We believe Washington, D.C., is broken and will not fix
itself. The federal government is spending this country into the ground,
seizing power from the states and taking liberty from the people.

We have a solution that is as BIG as the PROBLEM!!!

Goal: The COS Project seeks to urge and empower
state legislators to call a convention of states. The delegates at such a
convention would have the power to propose amendments to the
Constitution that would curb the abuses of the federal government.
Article V of the Constitution gives them this power; the COS Project
will give them an avenue through which they can use it. – See more at: http://www.conventionofstates.com/welcome#sthash.D3aGGw22.dpuf

  • Mark7Seven

I watched part of this on CSPAN2, so trying to suffer through the traitorous words again just rubs me the wrong way. I have so little use for about 96% of the senators that it’s pathetic. Cruz, Lee and a few others are the only ones who understand the stakes and the outcome of knuckling under to the Dems & RINOs on this. I’m not sure how or why they can’t see that de-funding 0bamaCare a life or death matter for our nation, our economy and most importantly our people! Shameful isn’t nearly strong enough to describe it.

  • Blair Watson

Another piece of human garbage with the spine of a jellyfish…he should be recalled and voted to oblivion…an absolutely useless tool…and another one of obama’s useful idiots….90% of the republican senators are useless and should be gotten rid of ASAP…

  • Cincinnatus

Tennessee… Really? If you are not a third-world state, get rid of this carnival freak show. This guy makes Nancy Pelosi look like she has am average IQ. Just put this guy back under the rock from whence he came.

  • klassylady

Obviously you DONT understand what the vote was for.

Cruz said at beginning of remarks on floor yesterday he would vote FOR the 1st cloture vote..& urge GOP to vote against cloture vote on bill.

The first vote was on motion to proceed. Cloture vote on CR isn’t til Saturday. That’s the one Sen Cruz wants stopped.

    • Stacey Shoemaker

      it’s very convoluted, intentionally so.

  • VoN

Two months ago nobody outside of Tennessee had ever heard of Bob Corker. Now he’s everywhere, but he’s on the wrong side of everything. He’s the MSNBC darling. Corker and Alexander, can’t Tennessee do better?

  • palintologist

Scoop will have a new post to put up soon. Mark Levin’s ripping “The Cork” a new one.

  • C. Patton McGinley

Corker…….. spineless twit that needs to be replaced next election cycle!

  • ladymalta

Adios, Sen. Corker…you are a disgrace to the Republican party. I hope you enjoyed your term as Senator because, come re-election time, you will be thrown off the bus with the rest of your traitorous buddies!

  • klassylady

Corker doesn’t understand what it means to “fight”.

  • CongressionalPic

If I, Gollum, had a son, he would be just like Corker!

  • keysersozay

Boy, this fuggin Corker has to go. What an absolutely stupid man, I mean really?

  • brendawatkins

The disdain they show for Cruz is exactly the way they view.. “We The People.” Remember that when it’s time to vote again. Show them who “We The People” are, and the disdain we have for them.

  • proudhispanicconservative

With all that Ted Cruz is doing in Washington, the most important thing he has done is expose all the Rinos, and this time we are definately paying attention. Thank you Corker for exposing yourself, now if Tennessee reelect him shame on them and us.

  • SteveD

I’ve heard Bob Corker’s name before but didn’t know a thing about him. Now I’ll never forget what a useless, conniving POS he is. Please somebody, anybody of worth – run against this sleazeball!

  • Rshill7

That’s what slitting your own throat looks like.

He’s not up for reelection till 2016. However, he’d best start begging for forgiveness right now. There sure are a lot of Senators who think we’re fools. Guess who the real fools are? Uh huh.

  • Larry Wilson

I live in Mississippi. I cross the state line to Tennessee everyday. I will do all in my power to make sure Bob Coker is never elected again. This is shameful. Does he think we are this stupid. If Roger Wicker does not support Cruz effort he is toast also.

    • Moose82

Hey Larry, I live in MS too and I’m about ready to kick both Wicker and Cochran out.

    Get a watch, Turban-Durbin!

  • Thomasones

the chicken bleep part is his fake ignorance on what the cloture vote will do. If he had any ethics, he would have been honest. Corker and other Senators (as Senators do) do not want to have their fingerprints on anything; while being able to campaign and fundraise as if they voted against funding Obamacare, when they knew they were doing nothing. After taking three seconds and using Wikepedia I found out that Establishment man Corker in 2010 was the only Senator to back Jim Bunning’s filibuster of a bill that would give a 30 day extension to unemployment and Cobra benefits. I wonder if he thought the filibuster had a chance to change the law? Cruz had much more support than he had. Who is the extremist? I wonder if the media and left was gaga for him back then. What an extremeist!!!!!!!!!

  • falcngnzx2

Corker sums it up when he says, “it’s not the REPUBLICAN side, it’s TWO members…blah, blah, blah….” The two MEN are Ted Cruz and Mike Lee who are doing what the rest of the spineless republicans are not doing, at that is REPRESENTING THE PEOPLE WHO ARE AGAINST OBAMACARE!!!

    • sassyj

      you summed up your stupidity

      • falcngnzx2

You may consider yourself “sassy”, I can vouch that you are definitely not intelligent.

Corker is correct on this point, and why the GOP needs to be killed.

      • falcngnzx2

….and you are the “tolerant”, “caring”, “kumbaya singing”, leftist to do the killing of GOP members…

        OK……….

  • crosshr

SO the Rinos like cooker jealous and think Cruz suck up all the air in the Senate floor with the filibuster while Rinos like McCain and Cooker waste valuable times on the Floor revealing their Foolishness.

Yes America , voting right comes with consequences. The likes of Lee, Cruz, West and the likes of the Rinos , Cooker, McCain. Think hard comes 2014.

  • John Andrews

The Senator from Tennessee sounds like an idiot.. Sen. Cruz is trying to teach him how to do his job… Pretty sad..

  • sassyj

He must be from the hills of Tennessee…He really needs to meet the people who voted for him then He would be NO MORE…Tennessee doesn’t put up with the stupidity this Senator displays

    • DarkKnight2016

He was Mayor of Chattanooga, Tennessee before becoming Senator

      • sassyj

I know Tennesseans do not put up with people who cross the line, and corker crosses it.. They have more ethics and honor…To say he was the mayor of Chattanooga does not mean he is worth is weight in salt.

  • Bob

    Corker is a total jerk.

  • odin147

Remember the names Cornyn, Corker, Coburn…spineless hippies. It takes extreme measure to fight an extremist demonrat party and an extremist media, which these spineless wimps are incapable of, they hide behind being the minority. If you don’t put pressure you will never know when your opponent cracks, and this is about cracking the demonrat party.

    • MaroonRepublic

Texas will give Cornyn a good old fashion butt whooping in 2014.

      • Judges718

I am in Texas and haven’t heard any buzz about a Conservative primary challenger to Cornyn.

Do you know of any current challengers? I would love to send a contribution.

Before Cruz entered the race to replace Hutchinson, Michael L. Williams expressed interest in running. On the surface Williams seems a solid Conservative. Maybe he will challenge Cornyn?

I called the two senators from Georgia – they are just as pathetic as Corker. I tried calling Corker’s number but his mailbox was full.

      • PhillyCon

As I said, it’s pathetic that red state senators are siding with liberals. Doesn’t say much, does it?

  • Annette Burns

It’s bad enough that we in Missouri have Clair McCaskill (obama’s lapdog) but now Roy Blunt is voting with the Dems. I called his office, but doubt it did any good. Clean house fellow Missourians!

  • Freedomswatch

Corker and these weasels know they safe in 2014 but we can send them all a stiff message. Mc Connell , Cornyn ,and Graham should be targets 1, 2 and 3. If we can get rid of Mc Connell they have to choose a new majority leader and with Cornyn gone the field would be open to set a new direction in the senate. Texans should be able to vote out Cornyn if we get the right primary candidate. I’m wondering if Michael L. Williams might be interested. Cruz beat Dewhurst and his millions, maybe “we the people” can get rid of Cornyn.

    • Paul Pyle

You forgot McCain – another traitor!

  • MaroonRepublic

Remember that even if this gets thru the senate like we expect, it still has to go back to the House. Stay on your congressmen to stand their ground.

  • PhillyCon

I wonder how the voters of TN feel about this. I bet they didn’t elect Corker to side with Dick Durbin. I also bet the voters of TN want Obamacare challenged and repealed. Just a hunch.

  • Mike Benton

This guy is as dumb as he looks!

  • PhillyCon

What’s pathetic is that Corker is from a solid red state.

    • Thomasones

He lacks the intelligence to be able to argue a point without taking the coward’s way out and bashing Cruz. Rand Paul disagrees with Cruz, but went on the floor and gave Cruz support during the filibuster and spent his floor time bashing Obamacare, not Cruz. Corker’s only intention was to bash Cruz; his fake ignorance of what the cloture vote will do was awful; but he showed what a creep he was even in his open lying; if Corker is so hot to trot to defund Obamacare; Corker should have made an impassioned plea across the aisle to his Democrat friends to vote to Defund Obamacare.

    • Thomasones

Phillycon, the fact that he is from a solid red state makes him feel safe in behaving like an asshat. He figures since he is a Republican in a Red State he thinks he can do anything and be in the Senate for life because he is a Republican. If he gets primaried he will start acting as if he is a rock hard Conservative; he will say that,’ I voted to defund Obamacare rarrr!!!!!!!! When he had no intention of doing so.

      • PhillyCon

Well said. Kind of like the same crap McCain always pulls.

    • Conservative_Hippie

It’s not as solid Red as you think. Most of the Newspapers are run by Liberals, even in the small podunk towns, like what I live in. PhillyCon, most Tennesseans, I would venture, are products of a Democrat Heritage. The Governor and Senators will usually be RINO’s or Democrats. The House, which represents the people though do produce some solid conservatives, like the Congressman from my district, Rep. Scott DesJarlais. It’s a battleground in TN!

      • PhillyCon

I understand the Dem vibe in TN, considering Al Gore was from TN. Texas has pockets of liberals too. Austin, Dallas, Houston. Look at Sheila Jackson-Lee. But overall both Texas and TN, are solid red. This also explains another anomaly, Cornyn. Solid red states, with squishy Senators.

      • Thomasones

the House comes up for election every two years, so they are much more accountable than Senators; once a Senator is in, he or she is very hard to get out; and the establishment will fund them mightily when they come up for reelection every six years; many Senators run basically unopposed in dark red or dark blue states because the opposing party doesn’t want to waste money funding a candidate who has little chance of winning

        • Conservative_Hippie

Agreed, I remember the challengers to Corker last primary election and Corker was in the millions and the closest challenger was in 5 digits. How can the incumbent lose in those circumstances!?

          • Thomasones

The best chance of getting a Senator out is primarying him or her. In the current state of affairs, In a general election I will always vote for a Republican over a Democrat; even if the Republican is as weak and useless as Corker. But in a primary in most states, there is actually a choice for a voter between who they feel should best represent them. Rubio, Cruz, and Paul are all examples of Tea Party and not establishment candidates; and they are doing what they campaigned on (I was iffy on Rubio over his immigration dealing with Democrats, but he stuck with Cruz and Paul in their causes and doesn’t hide when criticized. This will take years, but ever Republican office holder needs to be held accountable by their voters; and then things will change.

  • ttechsan

With their Principles we would NEVER have fought for Independence because odds were bad & The Principles alone weren’t worth fighting for!

    • Thomasones

with their logic, as Limbaugh said today; the Founders were extremists; and we have to obey our ‘leaders'; in other words the establishment Republicans are saying, ‘shut the hell up and obey your superiors’ to Cruz anyone who supports him in the Senate and House; and any voter who supports these ‘extremists’

  • David

Corker is one of many traitors! We must remove all politicians from BOTH SIDES who refuse to REPRESENT WE THE PEOPLE in what WE WANT, NOT what they SAY we need! (Sorry for yelling)

    • Thomasones

good points and we should use the fact that Democrat voters as lemmings to our advantage; seeing the parade of Democratic stooges on full display on the Senate floor today; I was discouraged to realize that the Republican establishment is afraid of these dunces; but very encouraged to realize that the Republican voters have gotten in strong people like Cruz and if we keep getting in men and women of high caliber the establishment will not be able to stand and positive things may actually happen; and the Democrats will have the same fools in the House and the Senate and they will be crushed

  • Conservative_Hippie

From the bottom of my heart, as a Tennessean, I’m sorry for this joke of a senator. I voted against him in the last election, but the “GOP Establishment” made sure he was heavily funded. He makes me sick!

  • bjohnson55

Corker, Mcain and Grahm are only three of the reasons a new Conservative party needs to be formed. I am sick to death of being associated with these spineless Progressives.

  • curlylouis19

PhillyCon, asked a few minutes ago how the voters of TN feel about this, well this TN voter(who voted for Corker both times), is DISGUSTED. I feel that Corker stabbed me and everybody else who voted for him in the back. He will not get my vote the next time and I will do what I can to help send his buddy Lamarr into retirement next year

    • Conservative_Hippie

I’ve been in Tennessee for 4 years and at the last election primary I made it a point, Not to vote for him.

I get a kick how some Northerners, of which I was, think the South is full of Right Winging nuts (I’m using their terminology). When I moved down what I found was that most voters seem to lean Democrat. Thankfully some of the church goers are starting to realize that today’s Democrats are not like there grandfather’s Democrats, LOL.

      • curlylouis19

I’ve lived in TN for 8 yrs now(originally from New Orleans), and I hesitated in voting for Corker but voted for him because he was the republican candidate. I think Northerners are just jealous because the South has a lot more to offer.

        • Conservative_Hippie

Agreed, I voted for him in the General, but not in the Primary.

    • Donna

Have you told Corker how you feel? Every senator should be told how the voters feel. The trouble is that most people find it so easy to sit back and not do anything. I called every senator and asked that they support Cruz and emailed them. Time consuming for sure but well worth it. I think if someone in NY is going to make a decision concerning me, in GA, then he should hear my opinion. Especially people like Corker, McCain, Alexander, etc. Even Dirty Harry got a voice and email from me. McCain, Toomey and Corny’s mail boxes were full and could not leave a message. How convenient. Wickers voice mail was turned off.

  • Jen

I’m from TN and did NOT vote for Corker! Saw through him FIRST term!!

  • Vorlath -

This Corker guy knows exactly that a vote for cloture is a vote for Obamacare. He’s never wanted to admit that voting for cloture gives the Democrats the ability to fund Obamacare with 51 votes. He’s trying to say that the votes are not linked in any way. He’s dirty to the core.

  • harglide

I won’t watch it. Tired of it!
Theses disgusting (so called) repubs are enough to totally turn me sour!
I praise Ted Cruz from the bottom of my heart. I really hope that this all gains ground regardless of what these jack ass, LIBTARD, misguided individuals, like mclame, corker and the other losers, have to do or say!
I am exhausted in trying to make this work in my head. It is time to flush the danged toilet!!!

  • Brenda Sharpe

This is just sickening and disgusting! He purposely tried to confuse and trip up Ted Cruz .He is a bottom feeder and should have a big D after his name. If I were someone from Tnn. I would work tirelessly to make sure he went home and stayed home.

  • Laurel

    Swamp him.

  • rhigdon

I live in Tennessee and Senator Corker’s performance here is despicable. I will do everything in my power to see that this man does not get re-elected. He represents a very conservative state and he does not represent us well. What a lying, deceitful disingenuous performance.

    • Vixen

I’m a Tennessean, too. Boob Corker and Lamar! are pond scum!! Couldn’t agree more with your assessment, rhigdon.

  • Chuck

Corker, you are a despicable, human scum. How in the Hell did we get these RINOs

  • Michael Williams

Its amazing that the Progressive Wing of the GOP is trying to pull a “Who’s On First” type game over on the American People. ….They know exactly what they are doing!! I’ll bite my tongue on what I think should happen to each and every one of these cowards.

    • Chuck

I know what you mean, Michael. I do not want some agents showing up at my door.

  • Coralchristie

Just another liar to confront tomorrow as I continue to call these traitorish Republicans.

  • Don

This Corker guy has got to go, if he cannot be or stand for what is good for america, and just wants a Show vote then the people in Tenn, needs to show him a go home vote.

    • Howard Roark

Unfortunately Corker was just re-elected in 2012, you know the same election that Barack Obama won.

      • badbadlibs

Phooey. Maybe a miracle can take place and he can be recalled?

  • teamgreentim

Corker is useless to Americans. If you’re not going to do the right thing and help the only Rs with a plan to stop the ACA, then shuttheh3llup! What a disgrace.

  • CalCoolidge

There is not one Democrat like this, not one turncoat.

    • badbadlibs

That’s how they get us. How infuriating is that! Dirty rats!!

  • Moose82

These repubics like Corker are disgusting. Tennessee, can’t you do better than this?

    • Vixen

We in TN are trying to dump Boob Corker and Lamar Alexander, both epic assholes. Trust me. They are DESPISED by real Conservatives here. If they were honest, they’d just switch parties. I wrote emails to both yesterday and told them I’ll be voting for my Black Labrador Retriever before I’d EVER vote for either of them again. And he’ll be a far better Senator!

  • lugita15

You can certainly argue that voting for cloture will allow Harry Reid to fund Obamacare, but to be fair, as a factual matter Corker is right that the reason that Ted Cruz and Mike Lee want the cloture vote tomorrow rather than today is so that people will see it on TV. Now you can argue that that’s a good thing, so that the Obamacare funding matter is brought to the attention of the American people, but isn’t Corker right in his factual claim?

    • Rshill7

Yes, he is right that he wants Reid to be able to fully fund Obamacare. Furthermore, he will vote with Harry Reid to that specific end.

      Any questions?

    • brendawatkins

The question is, why does Corker have a beef with that?

    • Rshill7

Shouldn’t the people who are being misrepresented by their elected Senators be afforded the right to see it, with notice to the precise, or at least general time, so they can see it? I think they should be able to witness their traitors in action. Don’t you?

If you are too flustered to respond appropriately or at all, as Corker obviously was, I’ll understand.

By the way, not only can you “certainly argue that voting for cloture will allow Harry Reid to fund Obamacare”…that is the only cogent, logical, or honest argument one can make.

      Now git!

      • lugita15

The issue wasn’t whether the American people would be given notice about the time of the cloture vote. They’d be given notice either way. The issue was whether the cloture vote would take place at a time when a lot of people would watch it. And you can certainly say that you it’s a good idea to schedule the vote to maximize the attention it gets, so that the American people will see how their representatives vote. The only point I was making is that Corker was right about Ted Cruz’s reason for delaying the cloture vote.

To be clear, I agree with you that voting for cloture will bring Harry Reid one step closer to funding Obamacare, so I’m on your side of that argument, NOT Corker’s. I was just setting the facts straight.

    • binky354

There’s 24-7 coverage and replay after sickening replay. It will be seen on tv.

  • 1Emmit

I have been watching the inside the beltway crowd of media pundits, Fox News particularly, and the RINOs as they stumble over one another in analyzing the ”mistake” that Senator Cruz has made. The country is going to hell, liberties are going up in smoke and these two groups of blowhards, the media and the elitists politicians are more concerned with pontificating and spouting off than focusing on what it was that Cruz has asserted. They act as if they know so much more than we ”unwashed” plebes about what is happening politically and actually the are quite self serving, vain and stupid.

  • Joseph r carreiro sr

What Cruz is not a short term move,it is a long term move and many who throw him under the bus now will surely regret it later politically.Think hard.

  • Sentinel

    Corker. RINO. Fraud.

    • BornAgain123

This is ridiculous!!! So how did that strategy work for “Senator” Christine O’Donnell in Delaware; “Senator” Sharron Angle in Nevada; “Senator” Todd Akin in Missouri; “Senator” Richard Mourdock in Indiana; “Senator” Rick Berg in North Dakota and “Senator” Ken Buck in Colorado???? Each of these far-right ideologues either beat an incumbent GOP Senator in a primary and then got hammered in the general election….or….they beat a Republican in a primary better suited to win a general and then got hammered in the general!! How many more Senate seats will the GOP sacrifice in the name of ideological purity??? Corker? Lindsey Graham?? John Cornyn?? Terrific….great strategy.

      • ApplePie101

Arguing in the name of GOP interests, you address a shrinking base.

      • binky354

It’s better to fight and lose than never to have fought at all. Glad our military didn’t wave a white flag when they went up against overwhelming odds in world war 2 and in Korea. We’d be speaking German or Japanese today and there’d be no South Korea.

Senator Corker,in my opinion look very bad on this one. When you throw people under the bus make sure the bus is out of gas. Reason is if the bus starts up again someone may throw you under the bus just to see how it feels.Bad move.Friends do not throw friends under the bus or are there really no real friends in Washington. It sure looks that way. Think hard.

  • Thomasones

These establishment Republicans are so predictable; the ‘tough talking’ Peter King all ready played the ‘Cruz supporters are calling my office and being mean’ card. I predict that there is a 100% chance that many establishment Republicans will be playing that card starting tomorrow and especially after they vote with the Democrats on cloture. The establishment Republicans stand for nothing and deserve no sympathy and cannot be trusted due to their track record. They had no need to bash Cruz and his supporters; they could have stated their point, if they had one. And now when they are getting blowback on their actions, they are playing victim. Cowards.

  • Alborn

Croker is a big government Republican just like the Bushes, McCain, McConnell and the majority of the R in the Senate. That is why they will not fight to end Obamacare.

    • Doug Williams

      Throw in his neighbor Alexander

  • PBALABAMA

I have a question for the Senator from Tennessee: Why are you so afraid to been seen by the American people and to witness how you vote?

  • kimber1911

We all hope that the good senator from Tennessee.. Is primaries and defeated .. or better yet recalled and summarily fired by the good people of Tennessee…

    • BornAgain123

Great! Much better to have a Democrat beat a far-right Republican than a solid incumbent Republican who thinks pragmatically instead of politically. It just astounds me how so many fellow Republicans have an innate desire to become a permanent minority party. Is it really better to have 35 ideologically pure GOP senators who vote in lock step and 65 Democrats running the Senate??! Sheesh!

      • NJK

        BornAgain123,

      An ignorant RINO.

  • JoeTulsa

    Corker is an ignorant hack.
I don’t think he even understands that to vote yes on cloture is NOT in favor of defunding!
I think Corker must not have graduated from high school.
    What a dumbass!

  • JoeTulsa

    Durbin lies willfully.
Corker is just an ignorant fool.

    • NJK

      Durbin knows Obama isn’t eligible.

    • StrangernFiction

Corker knows exactly what he’s doing.

  • Judges718

These are the same traitorous GOPe Obama harlots that voted for the Senate Amnesty bill.

There are two issues that are fatal to the American Republic. One is Obamacare and the other is Amnesty, and these Senate Republican turncoats are dutifully voting with the Marxists to destroy America.

One of you “moderate” “centrist” “reach-across-the-aisle” types, please explain to me what these idiots stand for?

Why should I not just vote for the Marxist-Democrats?

If either Obamacare is implemented, or Amnesty is passed, with the aid of these disgusting GOPe cowards, then, to quote Hillary, “At this point, what difference does it make?” America is just as dead.

  • JoeTulsa

    Corker needs to be primaried!
    Come on, Tennessee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • BornAgain123

Sure! So that person can get clobbered in the general election and the seat can be gifted back to the Democrats. Brilliant idea! If it wasn’t for this kind of crazy thinking, the GOP would now have Senate seats in Delaware, Nevada (Reid would be gone), Colorado, Missouri, Indiana and North Dakota…and….have a 51-49 Senate majority. But alas….ideological purity continues to trump pragmatic conservatism.

      • NJK

Delaware? With what, a Democrat with an R behind his name? He was a liberal, what’s the difference between him and what they have now? Nevada? How do you know that wasn’t rigged? SEIU was handling the voting machines. And you know no such thing in these other states. Your kind of thinking is what gives us people like this dweeb, Corker.

If your happy with an empty label, go for it. I’m looking for someone with honor, who shows fidelity to our founding. And yes, I want purity at this point. I want George Washington and Ted Cruz. I don’t want a slimy creep like Corker. We deserve better than this in this country.

        • Thelmadb

As a Nevada resident I can tell you that election of Harry Reid last time was rigged. That guy was losing big time. All the sudden SEIU, Illegal Immigrants and Obama pounced on Vegas and low and behold, Shazzaaaammmm, he was re=elected….He has no following in Reno and Northern Nevada, Reid represents Las Vegas….We up North call him the CHAMELEON….and other things I can’t post….

          • binky354

Voter ID – It has to happen to help stop the fraud and corruption at the polls, and paper to back up the machine vote.

    • NJK

What’s going on in TN. The place is being infiltrated with jihadists and jihadist sympathizers. These people better wake up. That Corker is someone you’d love to take and just smash his face into the concrete.

      • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

        Hypothetically speaking.

    • Paul McComas

We’re working on it. He’s was just reelected in 2012 and we can’t recall him, but believe me the people of Tennessee are fed up w/him and Alexander and momentum is building to put them both out. Alexander in 2014 and Corker in 2018. Just have to get low information voters educated.

      • binky354

2018? How about a recall petition? I wonder if that’s possible.

        • disqus_E4Vdp7qC06

I looked up the recall rules… Just google recall laws. From what I read, with congressional members , it has never been tried and only certain states even allow state recalls. I think if we could, it would be great to find out more…. Maybe Mark Levin would know.

  • JoeTulsa

If you vote yes on cloture, it cuts off debate.
If debate is cut off, then Harry Reid funds Obamacare all by himself.
Then Reid just needs 51 votes.

If you vote no on cloture, it extends debate.
    If Harry Reid funds Obamacare,
He will need 60 votes, not just 51.

    • Amjean

Thanks for the clarification in simple terms.

      • RogKu

NOTE: Some Republicans may say a vote for cloture is a vote against Obamacare. It is not. If cloture were truly a vote against Obamacare, the Democrats wouldn’t be supporting it. Cloture will allow the Democrats to fund Obamacare

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFb6NU1giRA Booker

What’s wrong with letting the American people see what you are voting for? You wanna ram it in like the tax increases from last year?

  • Judges718

I have called Cornyn, that serpent. He is up in 2014. As of right now, I know of no viable Conservative primary challenger.

I told his staffer if Cornyn voted for cloture, he is not fooling anyone, he will be voting to fund Obamacare. I also told him I will be voting for his Libertarian opponent, and I mean it.

If Obamacare is implemented, I have no reason to vote Republican. America will be fundamentally transformed.

    • NJK

You’re absolutely right. Stay home if there’s no viable alternative candidate. It’s better to lose then put them back in office. They act as though they are entitled. They act as if they own this country. WE DO!

      • disqus_E4Vdp7qC06

You won’t if you don’t vote you will be throwing it away. We are all frustrated and pissed off but we have to keep fighting for our country and staying home will not cut it!

    • disqus_E4Vdp7qC06

I understand how you feel but all of you need to get out and find someone to run under the Republican umbrella. If we get enough Libertarians and conservatives in there then we can win. We need the independent votes and they are famous for not voting third party. At this point, that is giving your vote to the Dems and if that happens , we are truly doomed! We will have Obamacare with not one soul interested in trying to dump it, we will have 50-60 million illegals voting for them and that will make the majority huge of welfare freebee people. The country will be destroyed and no one other party will ever get elected….

      • Judges718

What difference does it make if we have Cornyn or a Democrat. By voting for cloture, Cornyn is voting to FUND OBAMACARE. Obamacare will be the death of the Republic. How will reelecting Cornyn save us. Why should I reward his treachery?

Obamacare must never be implemented. This disaster must be averted immediately, and at all costs. Putting it off will only advantage the Marxists. Once you have increased the dependency class, it will never ever ever be repealed, no matter how many Squish Republicans or even Conservative Republicans are elected.

        • disqus_E4Vdp7qC06

I agree but Corker is in until 2018 from what I hear so in 2014 there surely must be a conservative who is running for congress… Add another conservative to congress. You can vote Corker out of the Senate in 2018. I understand how they are playing but if Corker is still there until 2018, you won’t be voting for him in 2014. All of congress is up for re-election in 14 so you need to vote. We cannot give up. Please don’t throw your vote to the Left:)

          • Judges718

I am speaking of Cornyn. Cornyn is the senior Senator from Texas. He is up in 2014.

Cornyn has stated he will vote for cloture aka funding Obamacare. Also, Cornyn along with Majority Leader McConnell are reportedly whipping votes of fellow senate Republicans in favor of cloture aka funding Obamacare.

If Cornyn votes for cloture aka funding Obamacare, as far as I am concerned, he is toast. I will vote for a Conservative primary challenger if there is one. If Cornyn survives the primary and is the Republican nominee, I will vote Libertarian. I will not reward his treachery with my vote.

            • disqus_E4Vdp7qC06

I’m sorry, Corker Cornyn! Don’t worry there… There definately will be a conservative running and in fact I heard that there was… Just can’t remember the name but I bet Ted Cruz would tell you:)

              • Judges718

I am extremely proud of Ted Cruz. I wish I could say the same for Cornyn.

    • BS61

      Good for you!

This entire debate, with a special thanks to the true Conservative Senators like Cruz, Lee, Paul, Sessions who stood strong against the RINO machine- weeded out the snakes that MUST go.. I think we’re finally seeing the Conservative uprising that has had enough of the traitorous weasels within our own ranks. What utter elite snobs within the GOP who think they own the republican brand and vote however they please, not caring at all about their constituents.. They have their clique on K Street and attend dinner parties, patting each other on the backs all the while laughing at us back home- NO MORE.. The joke’s on you RINO’s.. time to go.

    • NJK

I also believe that these Repubics think that buy pulling these antics that they will take votes away from the the Dems and no one will ever get the Dems votes of the uninformed and freebee hunters. In turn, The Ted Cruz’s etc. will win by a landslide so by by you useless idiots !

Funny story: Years ago I was in Iowa on business, traveling on the main east/west highway. The teamsters were annoyed about something in their contract and the semi truckers decided to slow down to 30 miles an hour, driving next to
one another blocking all lanes. There was a huge line of cars behind them.
In Iowa there are not many main highways; to get off, one drives through
cornfields, etc., sometimes on gravel roads. We saw a line of cars ahead
of us get off on a side road. We thought, “heck, why not!” We needed to find
an alternate route to get us back to Illinois, so we will follow these cars. They must all know a local route whereby we can get ahead of the truckers. Twenty minutes later the lead car in this caravan drove into their driveway.
The rest of us spent a lot of time trying to get out of the maze we created
      for ourselves.

Like I’ve been saying, since Cruz joined the senate he’s had this innate ability to expose liberal Republicans simply by being himself which has been a great help for voters around the country, now they and I know who to send money to, and who’s opponent to send money to. Because basically, if you oppose Ted Cruz’s approach and policy on this and many other issues, you’re not really a conservative, you’re trying to merely appear conservative…by the way, has anyone else noticed how eerily silent Jeff Flake has been during this whole CR debate?

    • Conservator1

I saw he speak about Obamacare this week and it seem he was trying hard to move against being associated with McCain on Obamacare. But like McCain, I’m sure he will proudly stand by Obama.

      • jdbaird

Oh, I didn’t see that, thanks I’ll have to find it…I pay attention to him because I sent him money during the election and he let me down on the immigration bill, I’m just wondering if he’ll do the same on this.

        • Conservator1

I guess my observation was correct jdbaird – Jeff Flake had a previous engagement and didn’t vote.

I heard that on the radio today, that he was a no show… how “political” of him.

    • Amjean

I agree with what you said. At this point in time, I don’t care what “good” you have accomplished as a politician; if you speak out or vote against what Ted Cruz is trying to do, we conservative voters should be done with you. And I include governors of states who should be encouraging “holding the line”.
The Obamacare defunding bill is my red line in the sand.

      • Amfer Ferg

        Well said! …and me too!!

      • jdbaird

I am ashamed that he is my Senator and from my hometown. We really expected good things from him. He has proven to me that none of them can be trusted. Done with both parties.

  • Smith Smith

Corker has the logical thinking of a democrate…ugh

    Grey Beard Corker!!!

  • USMC 64-68

Corker’s duplicity is self-evident. Even the knife has now been made visible he used to stab Cruz and his constituents in the back.

  • George

Okay, so how do we actually get a recall started?

    • DarkKnight2016

There is no recall law for elected federal officials. You have to wait until he is up for re-election which will be in 2018

    • George

Thank you. Off to page 33 of Levin’s new book: repeal the 17th amendment,

  • Amfer Ferg

What a farce – Sen Bob Corker hammering away that he doesn’t understand graphically exposed what he truly is – a liar. By debating a ‘falsehood’ as exposed by Sen. Ted Cruz, Corker should be ashamed but he pretends it ‘just isn’t so’…. Truly a democrat by nature and fully exposed. Perhaps that is why he is fighting the ‘tv coverage of today’s event’.

  • Stevo

Amfer you are RIGHT ON…Corker is a DICK

    • Stevo

or should I say he’s a DURBIN!!!! Bwwwwaaa Haaaa haaa haaa

  • Stevo

Corker you duplicitous dink…we’ve had enough of your RINO style…You Sir are what is WRONG with this country…DISMISSED!

  • In_the_OC

Corker – another LITTLE MAN – looking for his fame using anyone else’s coattails. And in this instance, the coattails belong to Senator Ted Cruz.

FIGHT ON, Senator Cruz. You are not alone!

  • Hillary Shackley

Another hillbilly RINO- get lost corker

  • LumbeeIndian

Republicans like this are Demo”n”crats in disguise! HOW did these men ever get elected in their states? The voters had better pay attention to “WHO” they are electing
because they are destroying our Country by their ignorance…this man is NOT a Republican, and not a Conservative….he is evil! Look at a man’s character and how he has voted in the past will tell you who he is…. I pray America’s people wake up before it is too late. Elect men we can trust to honor our Constitution.

    • OleDad48

Perhaps he believes he is a conservative, but in this clip he simply kisses up to the Democrats for his own “good name” within the Senate walls. Cruz on the other hand is hated by Democrats and Republicans alike because he stands for American Principles against the president and Democrats’ major move to socialized medicine. Cruz actually wants Americans to see the Senate sausage being made, and Reid and Corker want to avoid that.

    • gretchin

Corker fooled us but just like Lamar Alexander, his butt will get his in 2018.

    • anglelou

Why is McCain still representing Arizona?..they have enough trouble with illegals…oh, I forgot – John McAmnesty counts on the illegals to vote for him – so does Obama. But it’s time for John to go – what can we do to help his journey to the rest home for the mentally incompetent? We will all contribute to his demise as a Senator. This country can no longer afford him.

      • LumbeeIndian

Amen, you get one arm, and I’ll take the other!

  • OleDad48

Thank you for this clip. Normally, the backstabbing of patriots like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee is done “behind the doors and drapes.” This puts it right out there for all to see. And Corker obviously does not want the people who sent him to DC to watch him in action. His behavior is vicious and despicable, and just shows how much more golden the fight of Cruz and Lee is.

Let’s see: he ridiculed Cruz and Lee for voting “against the bill they filibustered” when he in fact knew that the “yes” vote was nothing more than a vote to proceed to discussion of the bill. He fained “confusion.” And then he “whined” that “Republicans are not delaying the vote on cloture, except for two.”

Notice how Durbin raised a question on Republican time, and in the discussion of that, time ran out. The Senate sausage is far worse than I ever imagined.

Go Cruz! Go Lee! Defeat, now or as soon as possible, to “the distinguished senator from the great state of Nevada” putz Harry Reid and his lapdog, “the distinguished senator from the great state of Illinois,” Dicky Durbin.

    • anglelou

Dickless Durbin has always been disgusting – obviously a member of the Chicago thug Mafia that rules…where Obummer came from.

  • ptlinva

    What a jerk Corker is…

  • Pulfnick

I live in Tennessee and am totally disgusted with Corker, first his vote on immediate amnesty and now this! We need a conservative candidate to replace him when his term ends in 2018!

    • gretchin

Agree…. 2018 is too far away!! I live in TN and I’m done with Corker.

    • anglelou

There is always recall and granted Corker needs to be recalled along with McCain, and the rest of the RINO pack that opposed Cruz. Colorado recalled two Democrats over their gun control stance – take out a few more rats on both sides of the isle.

  • Jonny Angel

WHY is there concern that ‘we the people’ be able and ‘allowed’ to watch what’s going on? Let’s put some sunshine on the whole damn place…….

  • Betsey_Ross

Another one to primary. Get busy! There are patriots in TN that want to serve the people, not to fool them.

  • bahamianhoosier

My email to the lowly Senator Corky!

    Everyone else do the same!

    http://www.corker.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/contactme

Sir as a Republican I can tell you that after watching your exchange with the great Senator Ted Cruz and the way you fall in line with the progressive Democrats who loath all things Republican you will never even get a sniff of a vote from me or any of my family! The fact that you would rather attack Sen Cruz and Lee and stand with Dick Durbin makes your stance very clear! You do not concern yourself with your constituents who in a 3 to 1 margin want EVERY WORD OF OBAMACARE REPEALED!! You and your fellow statists moved to assist yourselves and your aides in not going into the program the way us “lowly citizens” are forced to! Big business gets waivers, Congress gets waivers, Obama cronies get waivers…WHAT ABOUT US?! You are a disgrace and should never refer to yourself as a Republican let alone a Conservative! You are a Progressive who has more in common with Reid and Durbin than Cruz, Lee or Paul! Do us all a favor and switch to the D and then you can continue to lick their boots in a hope to be fed some crumbs from their table! Disgraceful! Enjoy the last of your term. We Tennesseans will work to see that it is your last!!

  • Tim Vande Schraaf

Send the bikers from Kentucky over to Tennessee and wait for that bum to change his tune. Its time for a rebellion and all of this GOP butt kissers need to go.

  • mikeinidaho

And another traitorous, left-wing-loving, RINO, Obama syncophants is heard from.
Thanks for your input now SIT DOWN AND SHUT THE EFF UP!

  • Level999

I backed this guy when he ran for senate against Harold Ford. Now he attacks republicans on the senate floor. Did he change many minds speaking out? No. He just gave democrats more talking points.

  • Reinhard M Weiss

Corker, like Cronyn, is ANOTHER example of a democrat who runs as a republican in a red state … because they CANNOT win as democrats in the red states. McLame, Grahamnesty, Cornyn, Corker … and the list is far longer … have done as much or MORE damage to the cause of liberty and the American Constitution by giving the most radical deranged ANTI-constitution governing elites the power to destroy our constitution. SHAME ON HIM … and I hope history gives him the credit as a TRAITOR to America that he deserves, and may the good citizens of Oklahoma QUICKLY unseat this slimey liar and send him into retirement quickly.

    • RogKu

NOTE: Some Republicans may say a vote for cloture is a vote against Obamacare. It is not. If cloture were truly a vote against Obamacare, the Democrats wouldn’t be supporting it. Cloture will allow the Democrats to fund Obamacare

    • marcus johannes

Herr Weiss , I live in Southern Mexizona , Unfortunately I am Intemately aware of who John ( The Traitor ) McShame is , Recently we have renamed him which you my not be aware of , His new name is Juan ( The RINO Traitor ) McBama , Also in the spirit of Political Correctness we no longer say illegal alien , Myself and my fellow American Brothers with the Border Patrol now refer to them as Unregistered Democrats future Voters for the Communist Party formerely known as The Democrats

  • RWandB

Hold your fire to you see the whites of their eye…at the ballot box.

  • john@intelleges.com

cruz said to corker don’t question my commitment
corker said to cruz, allow me to peruze
your statements and excuze you for the language that you uze
you are the very model of a modern major general

  • fr0thing

Corker must be another of those Commies that infiltrated the government years ago. Well guess what? The JIG IS UP!!!

  • TJinNJ

Corker is another bought and paid for MB rep bent on America’s demise. Why else are mosques popping up in Tenn. like zits on a teen?

  • gnafuasusual

Corker is one of the dumbest Senators that I have listened to. “I don’t understand…” He opened his mouth and showed his ignorance!

  • JVW

Please do not shut down the government. Like Huckebe said on his program, let the Democrats own Obamacare and we will undoubtedly win in 2014 and 2016. We will lose whatever we have gained re: Obamacare, I am afraid, when we will again be blamed for a Governemnt Shutdown. Obamacare will disintegrate by itself and that will be a winner for us.

  • marcus johannes

Bob Corker RINO Weasel from Tennessee is Confused , He Managed to not Answer or Ask a single question , Then he referes to Dick Durbin as his Good Friend , Now Dick Durbin is a slippery Slimy two faced forked tongue Weasel and Liar , The Flip Side of that Coin is that Senator Ted Cruz I had no problem understanding and is the only Man in this Entire Exchange that made any sense at all , The Only thing I could have wished for that would have made this even more entertaining is to Hear Rand Paul help Ted Cruz make these Idiots and Morons sound even more Idiotic and Foolish then they already do , But I think Ted Cruz did fine on his own and does not need the help , Rand Paul and Ted Cruz in 2016 or we may all be done ,Hello & Greetings to the NSA and DHS
