George Will was asked this morning on America’s Morning News how he felt about Beck ‘leaving’ Fox. Interesting how this is being spun, as Beck has made it clear he isn’t leaving per se but transitioning to new projects. In any event, Will’s response was that Fox will be better off without all the crazy from Beck and it will only help their reputation:

While I don’t watch Beck’s show anymore, I know that he has exposed more as a host of his show than anyone else on any other network or newspaper for that matter, including columnist George Will. I’ve learned more about our enemies in America and the world from Beck than from anyone else. But I guess to someone like George Will, who probably still believes that Egypt’s revolution is about true democracy and freedom, all of that is meaningless.

Sure, Beck’s made mistakes and he’s owned up to them. He’s been relentlessly attacked by the Left because he keeps exposing them and it seems like George Will is buying right into their attacks on Beck, just like he buys into the attacks on Palin.

George Will does not speak for the tax paying citizens of America. Beck is not going anywhere he is just not going to be doing the 5pm show.

    • Guest111

That’s for sure, he doesn’t speak for me.

I’m going to see Beck live Saturday in Tallahassee. Looking forward to it a lot. I’ve got 6th row tickets!

      • Anonymous

        Nice! I’m jealous!

        • Guest111

          Thanks for all the “likes”….

I’m really excited…can’t wait. I remember listening to the audio of Glenn on 9/11 when he was on WFLA. Hard to believe we’ve gotten to here from there.

LOVED when Glenn was on with the Judge and said….”they will PRAY that I still had a 5 o’clock show…” LOVE IT! GO GLENN!

      • justawhoaman

You will LOVE his show. I saw him in San Antonio last week. My tickets were pretty dang good, too! Mr. Beck has done a great deal to wake up Americans about what these Progressives are trying to do to this great nation… I am not shocked that George Will makes statements like this… he is purely status quo, not a true conservative, and can’t see the forest for the trees.

      • Guest111

I’ll be tweeting tomorrow for as long as I can….and give a little flavor of the show and my thoughts. Follow me here: @wetherb67

Yet another Beltway insider elite who thinks they know better then We the People!

  • Anonymous

Who cares what George will has to say?
He’s been on news shows all my adult life. I’m so tired of the DC ‘elities and insiders’. Have a real american on GMA and see what they think of Becks’ plans.

    • Publius

Who the h… is George Will? I seem to remember someone with a name like that explaining in 1980 why the Republicans would be better off nominating Howard Baker than some third-rate actor who played second banana to a chimp. I wonder if that is the same a-h.

  • Anonymous

Gonna miss Beck as he is. I just hope the next incarnation is as effective and informative as what he’s been doing. Looking forward to seeing what it is he’s teasing us with.

Pay close attention, kids. This is our Pundit Class at its clueless best. Like Bill Kristol, The Weekly Standard, David Brooks and even the new crop of wannabees like Dana Loesch, Liberty Chick, and others they are more concerned about their speaking fees, books, and writing gigs than digging deep into the issues.

Will is a Cocktail Party Conservative who spends lots of time with the elite and very little time with real Americans. He is so impressed with his own whit that he can’t see the radicals in Washington. We are in this mess because of clueless narcissists like him who failed to see the creeping decay of our political system.

It will be many years before we fully appreciate the contribution Glenn Beck has made to America.

Good luck, Glenn, you “sick twisted freak.”

    • KeninMontana

On those points I would agree with you. (imagine that) Will is just another one of those “pet conservatives” the MSM pulls out so that they can claim that they are presenting a “balanced” presentation. Back to your kennel George, good boy.

      • http://www.planettron.com NickDeringer

        Hay. It happens.

    • Anonymous

I agree with everything you said.

    • /Sarc – K~Bob

B-b-but things are just swell . . .in Washington! Straighten your bow tie, and get back on the bandwagon. All will be well.

    • sDee

You got it . I look forward to the day there is no more gravy in DC for these bottom feeding elitists to live off of.

Especially as that gravy is coming straight out of our wallets.

    • Anonymous

I would disagree with you on only the phrase ‘creeping decay’. Sad to say, the decay of our political system seems to be at a faster speed than a creep.

Don’t buy the “he’s transitioning” nonsense. They don’t transition in news programming they fire. It’s a shame because I initially liked Beck’s libertarian leanings and thought it was great for reaching a wider audience, but his descent into eschatology, fruit cellars and the coming AntiChrist left me running for the exits. If Fox News wants to maintain credibility as a news organization it had to remove Glenn Beck who moved from commenting on the news of the day into dark conspiracies wrapped in Biblical prophesies. No news organization can credibly do objective news gathering while having a host who should be doing Sunday morning preaching on local TV while fleecing frightened older people of their savings. The beginning of the end was his revival meeting on the mall in Washington DC.

End time prophets have been around for 2000 years making a quick buck off of the population and they will be around for 2000 more. If Glenn had stuck to doing news and political commentary like Limbaugh, Ingraham, Hannity or O’Reilly he’d still have a news show.

    • Rich

Stop with the credibility nonsense. Point to another television news program that has any credibility whatsoever. Let’s say Fox loses this “credibility”..where the hell are people going to turn the dial? CNN? MSNBC? HNN? They have less credibility that Fox and it isn’t even close.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_6RH7MSNIJA77Y65KKCKHXXNQTQ Tom

The only reason I leave my TV on Fox all day is so I don’t miss the GB show

    • Anonymous

“Don’t buy the “he’s transitioning” nonsense. They don’t transition in news programming they fire.”

Show me where FOX fired Glenn Beck. I don’t see that here.

FOX NEWS AND MERCURY RADIO ARTS ANNOUNCE NEW AGREEMENT
(New York, NY) Fox News and Mercury Radio Arts, Glenn Beck’s production company, are proud to announce that they will work together to develop and produce a variety of television projects for air on the Fox News Channel as well as content for other platforms including Fox News’ digital properties. Glenn intends to transition off of his daily program, the third highest rated in all of cable news, later this year.

“If Fox News wants to maintain credibility as a news organization it had to remove Glenn Beck who moved from commenting on the news of the day into dark conspiracies wrapped in Biblical prophesies.”

“If Glenn had stuck to doing news and political commentary”

He does – the tie ins with Obama, the radicals, George Soros, Van Jones, Samantha Power, Cass Sunstein and numerous other Obama czars, what is happening in the Middle east, the economy…….

as for the others you mentioned-they all have their own niches whether in radio or as FOX commentators. They’ve all rubbed the leftards the wrong wag and MediaMatters has an all out war against FOX News in general.

As for Bill O’Reilly-a a bloviating pinhead who puts more credibility in what Obama says than any of his guests.

    • justawhoaman

Sorry, John. Somewhere along the line you were listening to Glenn’s detractors and not to Glenn. How hard is it to believe that Islamists want to take over the world and kill the infidels? How hard is it believe that Ben Bernanke and the Fed have been toying with our dollar, playing with the silver market to prop it up, to the point of no return? You don’t believe that food and gas is going to be so expensive that people will have to decide to either heat or eat… because the worthless dollar doesn’t buy anything??? How hard is it to believe that we are surrounded by people who in college were orchestrating the blowing up of ROTC buildings only to have them cut their hair and put on suits when they grew up, teach our children that our country is bad, and proudly admit that, as Senators and Congressmen, that they are members of the American communist party? What country have you been living in to think that Glenn is off base on any of this???

I know that I live in the country that Glenn Beck has been trying to save and I for one am glad that he lives here, too!

    • Anonymous

Glenn has been dropping hints and preparing us for this time for about a year now.

You evidently have never heard of the Prophets who spoke of the conditions in the final days who lived much longer than 2000 years ago. They wrote in the Torah if you care to look.

  • John

To be fair, I think it’s good for Fox and good for Beck. Beck has outgrown Fox. He’s reached as far as he can there. The episodes do tend to repeat themselves and the radio show is much better anyway.

It’s also good for Fox for the reason that Will says. As awesome as Glenn is, his style naturally attracts the crazy, left-wing reactionaries. Fox doesn’t need this.

I do hope, however, that the Judge’s Freedom Watch takes up the 5pm slot. We need a libertarian in the lineup and the Judge is smart, likeable and delivers a great message – and harder to attack because he argues his case very coherently.

    George Who ??

  • K~Bob

This just in: Yogi Berra says Baseball would be better without George Will.

(That reminds me, Scoop: I hope you have met some Beck staffers and can get a little inside edge when it comes to his next-generation of stuff.)

  • Right_Wingnut

I can’t stand George Will. He was wrong about Reagan, and will be proven wrong about Palin as well.

  • Curth

The toupee glue that Will uses must be seeping into his brain. Go away , Georgie. No one cares.

  • http://www.solitudeholdings.com/blog1/ Dan C

I no longer watch Fox. It has become rino central with plenty of Obama apologists. George Will is just another RINO who gets a paycheck to attack conservatives on the MSM airwaves.

  • wakelaw88

George Will is just jealous that he doesn’t make as much money as Glenn -and has been a member of the lame stream for as long as I can remember. Beck is a visionary who won’t tolerate forces destructive to freedom – no matter where they come from.

  • Hosepipe

Will is a leftist shill.. masking being a conservative.. you know shill as in in phony.. poseur.. fake.. tool.. mole..

  • Anonymous

we can do without george will. he is an establishment blueblood who cannot stand we the people. he is the poster boy for elite in republican party.

we all know what beck is doing…and beck will be everywhere, and unrestrain! i can hardly wait!

i want to thank glenn beck for his patience in educating an american public (we the people) about the dangers of our slumber, and how fas the enemy moves when our eyes are closed.

we must stay connected. we must keep a bond….

Like Beck said ” the Democrats are going to be praying he still had his small 5:00 show, in one year”.

  • simple thought

    screw george, will ya

  • Coralchristie

George will is an elitist, pseudo-intellectual. Beck makes him look bad and he can’t stand it. There are too many like him who love to be heard for their much speaking.

  • Anonymous

Yea, Fox is better without Beck, and the Republicans were better off without Reagan, right George?

  • Odin147

Who cares what Will thinks, people like him live in a glass house with thier books, he has no street smarts, he has no connection to the folks, like beck or palin have, beck is an intellect who can also connect with the folks. They are scared of beck, because he shakes it up, he thinks out of the box, and that is something the conventionalist cannot handle. Beck should go on the offense and start his own channel on basic cable, man would that rile the elits up.

George didn’t think much of Reagan, either. Not smart enough for him. They say he came around on Reagan. It’s convenient to be on the right side of history after it’s made.

  • Annie

Enough of George already. “I think Fox news is ON THE CUSP of being recognized as a top news agency….” Where have you been, George??? Ummm….where do YOU get YOUR news??? Which news agency has gone over the cusp and is now ‘reputable’? Go back to hugging your old, outdated Pulitzer Prize, and leave us alone, please….and take Chas Krauthammer with you.

  • nickters

One of the biggest problems in America is that we have people telling us what we should think. Some of the smartest and wisest people I’ve ever met never went to college. GW has really become filled with himself. He is a dinosaur as all the main stream media has become. We don’t need his elitist atitude. Beck makes much more sense.

  • Anonymous

George, try to imagine how little we care what you think. You and your bad comeover should take a hike!

  • SandyfromChesterfield

I liked George Will but not so much anymore.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_EMIY6L7R6VBK7FSIWLJ6X7JHVQ rappini

G.Will is your typical Rino he probably can’t stand GB’s success as a major player in News because he doesn’t have a degree in Journalism, what a putts.

  • Johnschaffran

Do not be surprised I Beck runs.
